Yet to be seen, in my eyes no not bad for VT... This thing is going to take crazy turns before everything is said and done, only a few people really have a grasp of what is going to happen... Speculate away ;)

Just like they go to the other power conferences, or schools with good football programs.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. If the talent level drops in the ACC you can expect recruiting to suffer for all the remaining teams

As long as Florida State, Clemson, Miami and VT are in the ACC, it remains at least viable. The loss of any of those, however, I think would spell the loss of all of them.

Replace Miami with GT. Hell UVa has been better than Miami since they joined.

Miami has the name. They're always just one year away from being amazing.

Low,'I think we're going to see more conference expansions. I can tell you that the SEC has their eyes on Va Tech.'

If Miami, Clemson, FSU, or VT leave, the ACC crumbles like a shitty coffee cake.

There is VERY real possibility that UVA will be one of the bigger named schools left behind in this whole situation. On the Sabre they are convinced that the B1G would take them but I can say for a FACT that they are so far down the B1G list, the chances of them ending up there are about as good as them winning the ACC this year. Their best bet is actually an eastern pod of the Big 12 or even Pac 12. The SEC and B1G have next to zero interest in them, and I am saying this with 100% confidence and good sourcing.

So have the SEC and B1G contacted VT or either of them even do we know? Which is more interested in us?

Also, literally nobody has called or taken a call from Charlottesville. They are a top 64 team but unfortunately a good number of below 64 teams are not going to give up their spot. As for us "owing them" anything. That is just not the case. We are not members of a conference and therefore hold no power to force them into anything. If our future conference ever decided to expand down the road, maybe we would help out.

And I couldn't be happier. Seriously owning them for 13 years or whatever it is isn't enough. I'd love for them to just abandon football altogether and be the only one in the state.
