If the defense is having a bad day and the running game is not working, can they win on his arm?
Can he perform like that if needed?

That is what will make him elite.

I think he is a top QB in ye leauge. Is he the best, no, but he is smart and listens to his coaches and is reading the defense. You don't have to throw for 300 yards to win every week in the NFL.

Yes, and he has more than once. Two games from last year stand out where the team went down by 3 or more scores and he lead massive comebacks. There were other games that required him to get a score late to take the lead and I don't recall him failing to do so. In fact every single one of their losses last year happened when the defense failed to hold a lead.

Again, it's another Wisky fan creating this threads that have been hashed and rehashed over and over. It wasn't a Seahawks fan bringing this up yet again.

I would put Wilson fairly high on the list of active QB's and he is unrivaled in terms of QB's over their first two seasons, but I really don't care if others agree and I don't know why we need another 10 threads going over it again.

I will laugh that it's Prisco at the center of this go around. Prisco and Dodd are always talking out of their asses and few people respect either of them.

Oh, and in this case it's just his ramblings based solely on what happened this year in PRESEASON. And he qualified it by saying now let's see him continue it in the regular season. In other words, it was a slow sports day for the NFL and he had a deadline to meet on getting something out and this was it.

He has thrown under 200 yards 15 times in his carreer... that's almost half of his games, lol.

Romo has thrown over 400 probably 3 times in that span...what does this mean? Nothing... The only stat I look at that really matters is W-L and RW has assisted in many more W's than Romo

So the argument that he doesn't deserve consideration as a top QB is the number of times he has thrown vs what has happened when he did? Yeah, that makes sense. :L

I don't think anyone is saying he's a bad QB. He's good at not making mistakes and managing the game. He hasn't proven himself as an elite talent yet... I don't get why that's getting so much backlash.

Every argument against Wilson comes down to this.

Don't be dense, obviously Romo has more wins overall seeing as he has been the starter since 2006. However since Wilson has been in the league AKA 2 years the win totals arent even close.

Romo since 2012: 16-16
Wilson since 2012: 24-8

Yup not even close.

now that is just dumb.
Just about every win is because of romo. It isn't because we run it down anyone's throat & sure as fuck not because of our defense.

Great... so that means Wilson is better than Romo.............. and Rodgers, Peyton, Brees, etc.

honestly the question was is he elite?

For some reason if a non hawks fan says he isn't elite we are all haters & bashing Wilson.
It is possible to be a good Qb & not be considered elite.

Just because a Qb has good seasons doesn't mean he is elite & if it does, then a ton of QBs are elite & now elite isn't special anymore, in which case means they aren't elite.

&
for all the hawk fans with luck envy. I don't think Luck is elite either. ( & this isn't bashing luck or Wilson)

Switch the teams they played for and it would read

Romo since 2012: 26-6
Wilson since 2012: 8-24

honestly don't know why you are trying to compare wins.
wins is by a team.

Are you saying if Wilson played on the cowboys & Wilson plays the exact same as he has for the hawks but the defense blows the games & now Wilson doesn't have as many wins, & has zero playoff wins & sure as hell would have never gotten to the superbowl.

Even though he is the same guy, are you saying now he isn't as good of a QB because his wins are less & now you wouldn't be able to compare playoff records & no superbowl to hang a hat on?

Is he still just as good in your mind being & playing the exact same way or is he now lesser of a QB? (because of the team he is on?)
