They're still a blue blood, but I wouldn't be surprised if that fades more and more as the years go by. They're stuck in the BIG west, recruits have no clue that they used to be good, and they can't take partial qualifiers anymore.
No, the Huskers are not a blue blood program. I love Nebraska and wish we played them every year. I had two pennants in my room when I was growing up: an OU pennant and a Nebraska pennant. I have attended watch parties with Nebraska fans when OU wasn't playing that day. Nebraska has the best fans in college football. And they did have the best teams ever in college football in the 90's but that was a long, long time ago. I put Nebraska in the same category as teams like Michigan and Miami. They are good programs but not in the elite 6-8 teams all time.
Why bring up Harbaugh and Michigan? We have.
Just like you have with crazy man Harbaugh.
And that bumbling Hoke before the guy you really hated in Rodriguez who lost to an FCS team, and Lloyd Carr who was lucky (at least you all thought), and then the guy Moeller who really stunk it up after Bo who never won a Natty.
We have a 2-1 record against you clowns in conference play.
Do you have any stats to back that up other than the B1G championship when an overrated NU team was playing against the third place team from the other division? This is about Nebraska's downward spiral. Id like to focus on the myth that Husker fans travel well. When in reality, it's kinda MSU/MidMajor-esque style road following.
Bullshit, once the lowly Kansas Jayhawk football program dropped 76 pts on them, their blue blood status was revoked. Don't care how bad the dark times are or how bad your coaching is, KU should only be dropping 76 on you if it's in basketball. Princeton was once a blue blood that won 26 nattys at one point. Nobody regards Princeton as a blue blood anymore. NU isn't winning another natty in our lifetime, & I guarantee that. Big 8 was set up to have NU succeed. That is long gone now unless the B1G allows unlimited partial/illiterate qualifiers, which is never happening, or unless tOSU, MSU, UM & Wiscy all get the death penalty at the same time. Embrace and accept being Iowa 2.0, Corn fuckers.
Sparty can't sell out when you losers come to town. Hotels aren't fully booked, the economy in general takes a hit compared to pre-BIG expansion.Do you have any stats to back that up other than the B1G championship when an overrated NU team was playing against the third place team from the other division?
But always remember those teams in the 90's we're great due to the NCAA shutting OU's program down for a decade and Dr. Tom's daddy resigning.
Back your claim up or STFU. It's not my job to do your research for you, and I find it very hard to believe the economy "takes a hit" when NU is in town. Anecdotal evidence =/= facts.Sparty can't sell out when you losers come to town. Hotels aren't fully booked, the economy in general takes a hit compared to pre-BIG expansion.
It's all on the Internet, if you don't chose to bury your head in the sand.
It's June. I'll wait while you find another blue blood that has sold out for 347 consecutive games.Haven't even sold all their season tickets for this year.
That's not very Blue Bloodish of em. And I can't really blame the fan base. What with all the other sporting events going on in Nebraska during the fall.
Wait,.... oh,....yeah, n'rmind. It's the only thing to do for hundreds of miles. That ain't good.

I can see why Mike Riley has such a hard time keeping kids eligible.Lots to do and enjoy where you live.
31K posts tells me as much.
I didn't claim anything. You're the one spouting off "facts" that aren't really fact. You back your claim up, tough guy.
tough guy who doesn't go to road games......
You got 66 put up on you in 2010. Huge 4 point difference there.ISU slightly better than KU football and giving up 24 pts is better than 76. Speaking of, how many times have the Huskers been raped for 70 pts in the last 10-13 years? I know your daddy hasn't given up 70 pts in that time frame....
Texas status was revoked when you got beat 24-0 by Iowa State just last year.
