What actually happened.

Wrong.

Wrong.

Those numbers are a favor to the defense. Do the arithmetic, in the unlikely event that you are able to.

I've lapped you repeatedly. Perhaps you didn't see me go by.

I can’t argue with someone who just repeatedly makes things up to fit their narrative.

AD was absolutely heading toward free agency. How can you refute that?

He was an unrestricted FA in 2020.

He told the Pelicans well before that what his intentions were. They dealt him a year before and he resigned with the Lakers. As he said he would do, obviously.

I think I have to be done with you.

Aren’t even bright enough to know what you don’t know.

Read some of his comments I thought the same thing.
You probably recognize him from the CFP thread, he was the guy that said Oregon should be co-champs regardless of what happens. At least I’m pretty sure that was him. Lol

He's talking about breaks but I don't think breaks have a lot to do with it most years.

Breaks have a ton to do with it. The Lakers alone have lost at least four Championships due solely to poorly-timed injuries.

But there are other kinds of breaks as well. The Celtics almost certainly do not win in '81 if a 5/6 seed tie-breaker doesn't set the Lakers against Houston in the 3-game first round -- with Houston having the only player in the league who could trouble Abdul-Jabbar, prime Moses Malone.

They play seven game series, the best teams win.

They do play seven now, but they didn't for many years. As you ought to know.

Those old best-of-3 first rounders were almost a crapshoot.

Like Lance said, it's really a win now situation.....3-4 years.

Trading Lively (he has more trade value than Gafford because he is younger and more upside) and Marshall to get a 3 and D wing makes a lot of sense.
It does, im just saying they really think a lot of Lively and if they part with him it will need to be a solid 3D, not just a guy

What are the "at least four" Championships the Lakers needed breaks on?

Oh, I agree with that.....but Lively doesn't fit their timeline with AD and Irving in next 3-4 years.

Biggest breaks the Lakers got in their history happened in the 70's.

In 1976, they got the then, New Orleans Jazz 1979 first round pick as compensation for signing Gail Goodrich as a free agent. That 1979 pick became Magic Johnson.

In 1979 they traded Don Ford and a 1980 pick to the Cavs for Butch Lee and the 1982 pick which became James Worthy when they won a coin flip with the Clippers for the #1 pick.
