#What is Hashtag?
I assume Peyton is considered an mvp candidate too?
Clowns.
Clowns.
Its a popularity contest as much as anything and writers are loathe to change their minds once they write a column about who they think should win. Before the year even began how many "predictions" columns were written with guesses of who'd win various awards? They mostly had Manning, Brady, Rodgers and Luck for their MVP. Anyone outside that group would need to have stats so far ahead of any of those guys to even get noticed by the writers, while the main contenders need to just be themselves to get votes. That's why I think JJ Watt got hosed last year. Rodgers had a great year, but Watt had a historic year. This year Brady is walking away with it anyway, but if it becomes close at the end of the year between say Bridgewater and Brady you can bet your house they'd give it to Brady because that would make their prediction right from the beginning of the year.
LOL, I was being completely sarcastic about Bridgewater and/or Foles. I simply complained that they were being looked over for MVP in lieu of Cam Newton because they are the only two QB's that actually have worse passing offenses than Cam has.
He's a candidate, but as long as Brady is playing well and until the Bengals lose, I see him lower on the list. I'm not a Dalton fan, but he is playing better than Newton (with better offensive weapons, though) and his team is undefeated like Cam's team. I did think he did a good job in OT against the Colts and in the fourth quarter against the Seahawks. So he's definitely there despite the numbers.
I understand that, but my point is the same regardless. Any player that wasn't a cool pick for MVP by the writers before the season started will have to do sooooo much more than the favorites to get any consideration at all. That's the way it's always been and the way it will always be.
Thanks Yahway. Hey while I've got you here, let's talk me winning the lottery.
Let's put it this way...I 100% guarantee that Carolina wouldn't be 7-0 right now with Dalton as their QB.
Ok, whatever you say. I have no dog in the fight and I'm not a Dalton fan.
Is there a fight?
You were dead on by saying "with better offensive weapons". I love how people have no problems comparing Dalton's and Newton's numbers like the two QBs are the only variables. Do people really think Dalton would have the same numbers throwing to Ted Ginn and Philly (or Corey or whatever) Brown?
Dalton can manage an offense with skilled players around him. If he had to carry an offense (like Newton has to), he would fail miserably.

And I don't see the Bengals 7-0 if Cam was their QB...
I wish people would actually watch the games and watch the players actually play instead of relying on numbers and talking heads.
