Worth a F?

Would he be a HOF coach without riding GOAT jock for so many year?

Those early teams had really good defenses, but also cheated.

He still had pretty good defenses without Brady, but the offenses were just worthless.

Eh I think like Pete Bill has no idea how to really run an offense and then gets stubborn about the draft and free agency and makes questionable picks or just weird acquisitions (Pete got lucky because he basically had an insider track record into College).... kind of like Pete, both HCs relied heavily on their QB to make all the plays. Both (at least until recently with Pete) always had decent defenses.

Pete didn't even want Wilson (that was a Schneider pick) but Wilson was still a great QB in his prime and clearly Pete's success Wilson's ability to extend plays and make his crap playbooks actually work, along with Lynch. I don't think it was Bill's decision to 'start' Tom... that relied on Drew Bledsoe getting injured... Pete was set on going in with Flynn that season lol.... until it was obvious why Schneider said to take Wilson.

Sad part is he probably just had his best draft. Certainly the best one in a long long time.

Now, at his age, I don't particularly think he is worth an *ahem*..."F"

Do you honestly know one fucking thing about football?

Every great coach rode the coat tail of a great QB.

Shula = Unitas and Marino
Belichick = Brady
Walsh = Montana
Landry = Starbach
Reid = Mahomes

Every single one of them had a great QB.

Name one that didn't after the forward pass was legalized.

Name one that didn't and is the HOF. Name one on the 12 teams that haven't won a Super Bowl that's in the HOF.

Sounds like you confirming Belichick was never worth a F...

I agree with you.

Carroll or Bill? Carroll had a decent draft but a lot of that was Schneider. I think in 2022 they pretty much told Pete Schneider has final say on the draft (before was not the case). Seattle's drafting changed VERY drastically that year and even this year.... they went from picking guys for Carroll's scheme to basically BPA.

I don't disagree with anything you've posted. I'll just say Joe Gibbs n Bill Parcells were exceptions to the rule. As both won multiple SBs w/o Hall of Fame QBs.

You're correct.
Gibbs= Theisman, Williams and Rypien
Parcells = Rutledge (Simms Injured)('87), Hostetler('91)
