Is anyone else missing hockey as much as me

I'm a casual hockey fan. I grew up in LA when they first got Gretzky and loved it. I never quite understood the rules but in all honesty, it was the best sporting event I've ever seen in person. I've seen all major sports in person and nothing came close to the excitement of an actual NHL game.

Probably because I expect my team to be so pathetically bad. Biggest storyline for them (IMO at least) is whether they'll be bad enough to get #1 overall pick.

This coupled with the awesome weather we've had in Vancouver and on the island the past six weeks has me not pining for hockey at all.

My son played (and I coached) pond hockey, which lasted til mid June.

Been taking my son and daughter to Stick and puck once a week when I can.

My son is at Blue Jackets Goalie camp this week.

I haven't missed hockey at all.

Plus the Indy Car and F1 seasons have been very entertaining.

I was away last weekend and couldn't go to Mid-Ohio. Man, would I have loved to have been there for Charlie's first win.

I like hockey but the sooner the season starts the sooner there is another lock out.... so you can see why Im in a pickle.

Hockey's all I have left this year, sports wise. The Badgers are going to be average at best, the Eagles could be anywhere from 0-16 to 10-6 (and if they go 10-6 Kelly is a GOD), and I don't care for MLB or the NBA.

I don't necessarily think the Flyers will be raising the cup, but they at least have a prayer.
