Bit early to declare that isn't it?
Gru has had a few clutch games with major saves.
They still are working on an identity and trying to string 3 good periods together.

If your goalie was giving up cheap shots I'd agree, but I haven't seen it.

Also keep in mind their #2 goalie has been out so Gru has played in more games than they had planned to this point.

All of their lines are still learning how to gel. I'll give them at least to mid-season before deciding what kind of team this is.

It's never early too draft a top G. Gru is 29 which isn't old but having that young goalie prospect is key to the franchise success long term. I've seen what the Devils had before and after Marty in net which is why I'm pushing for it.

Driedger and Daccord haven't had any playing time. Both have had at least some NHL time and Deridger is expected to be a good 1/2 tandem with Gru.

I'll take your word on Gru's past/expected future as I don't claim to be an expert, but overall it just seems early to know how this unit is going to end up this year.

I don't know tons about hockey (though I've been to quite a few NHL games in several different arenas), but I'm digging the Kraken so far. Last night's game was the first one I didn't watch. They had a rough start to the season but got going a bit once Gourde hit the ice. I really enjoy watching him + Tanev.

Any chance the mods will be able to give us a team icon choice this year? Is that not really possible anymore under Shaggy? Was it someone else that used to do it? I know back in the day we had a couple of old posters that did a ton of the artwork related stuff, but that was ages ago. Any updates on that @HaroldSeattle ?

I say 5th cause you can get jumped by 4-13. Of any of them are in the top 3. The further you fall.
