Hockey, NFL football, and The Walking Dead are really the only thing I miss about that time of year.

There are a lot more things that I miss about summer during hockey season. I still get depressed when I start seeing "Back to school" ads and I'm neither a teacher nor a student. They seem to start earlier every year now too.

No shit. They were literally running the "get started on back to school early" commercials the week after school let out around here.

Off to my first pre-season game tonight. The junior leagues start a few weeks earlier than the pros. I think the Q starts even earlier than the other 2 leagues.

This time is quite easily the worst part of the offseason. At this point I'm just hoping the Flyers sign an ELC, just to give us some news.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not missing the NHL in the least, though I will be interested in hockey again when the WHL season starts up.

God baseball blows.

But the Mariners sure do.

I must say I enjoyed watching the Seahawks put up 40 on the Broncos last weekend - I don't care if it's pre-season, watching Denver getting curbstomped never gets old.
