Let me see if I got this right. When NU runs a two gap in two gap situations, nobody tells the players they're responsible for two gaps. The player is only responsible for 1 gap. So the notion it's a two gap is a fallacy.

The dude can't communicate. No wonder there are missed assignments, failures to execute, confusion, and the players (like Randle there) seemingly don't give a fuck anymore. Randle's been trying to get this X and O shit down for 4 years now. He's tired of failure.

I know a player's dad. he told me his son (med-school, no dummy) went to Lincoln to play DL. He couldn't understand WTF they were trying to teach him and got frustrated so he switched to offense. He still plays and is a good player.

I'm afraid this team's gonna collapse the likes of 2007.

They'll win a few, but I don't see 9 wins or more. This 'keep trying to do the same thing' has about run it's course.

R_As post speaks volumes to why Bo needs to simplify and just tell guys "this is your gap on this play, destroy that gap". Can't get much simpler than that, but as he said, Bo can't articulate it at all. I can't even read the transcript of what he said on the subject. Seems to me they are trying to preach both 2 gap and 1 gap on different plays, which is just stupid. Also, I think Tomhusker in another post talked about how difficult the 2 gap is, just scrap the damn thing already.

Last year Bo made it clear in an interview that their defense is "play-to-play". So yeah.
