The season has come to an end, and we again say good bye to some guys. Rex Burkhead is one of the most outstanding players we've ever had at Nebraska, and he will never get as much recognition as he deserves in the future.

Again we end the season on an extremely disappointing note. When we had the lead 31-23, our Defense should have been swarming and getting pressure on Murray to get the ball back and put the game away. Instead they throw another hail mary and score a TD.....and get the 2-pt conversion.

For as much as we return next season and for all the new talent we will see on Defense, I'm sad.......because I know that whatever is going on right now is not working to get the guys up front strong enough to play physical football........and maybe we will reel off 8 straight wins to start next season, but it aint gonna mean shit at the end when we have to play a couple of real teams again.

Gotta wait 8 months now. Probably to witness another let down of a season.

I'm sad.

This offense will be better next season.

Maybe NU can win a couple of shoot-outs that they weren't able to this year.

UCLA (30-36) for instance.

The Huskers lost this game defensively, but a couple of those Georgia TD's were just great plays by their receivers. The defenders were in position and just didn't time the swipe right.

Green was right there, but his technique was garbage.

You saw Warfield teaching him highschool shit on the sideline. "Time the swipe right" LMAO

Nebraska will have one loss before playing Michigan next year. Mark it down and then we'll get to enjoy another blowout loss in Ann Arbor.

i seriously think people are mis-evaluating this game

Huskers really had a solid gameplan, and executed it well. This is the first time this season where we were actually prepared for a big game. Georgia just has superior talent, its as simple as that. On multiple occasions our DBs were in good position, their QB just put the ball in the perfect spot and their WRs just made great catches...they simply have more talent than us...

i was pleased with this game. Yes we lost, but we had a game plan in place, and it was a good one, and we executed it fairly well

just my 2 cents

I agree with the bolded parts. Nebraska has talent though, they just need to develop it more, play better fundamental football, and get better up front.

I don't think anybody with a realistic point of view thought Nebraska would win this game. Most were just hoping they could keep it close. I thought the only chance NU could win would be in a shoot-out. They kept it close for 3 full quarters.

I know moral victories are shit, but offensively Nebraska should go into next season on a positive note.

Also being left out of the conversation, is that the defense had a couple of interceptions.

yes they do have talent, and yes it does need to be developed better. but to say that we are equal talent level to georgia is laughable IMO

I didn't say that.

I'm saying it can be overcome. Players can be better developed from their raw state. They can execute better, play smarter, work harder.

4 **** can be made out of 3 *** and the opposite holds true.

Bo is right when he says "they didn't execute". No shit Sherlock.

My question is, are the defensive players being given something reasonable to execute in the little time they have to learn? There is no question that up front they need to get stronger though.

Overall I'm not widely disappointed with the season or the bowl outcome. With a 2nd year O-coordinator and a 1st year D-coordinator I didn't expect NU to be top or even middle tier.

I'm disappointed with the close loss to UCLA (first year head coach).
I'm disappointed w/ the blow-out loss to tOSU.
I'm disappointed with the blow-out loss in the CCG.

Offensively they need to make some tweaks.
Defensively they need an overhaul.

LSU had better talent then Clemson did, but Clemson overcame that talent edge with GREAT coaching. True story!

I just expected Pelini to do what Clemson did at least a couple of times within a 5 year period. Even Colorado did that with Hawkins as their coach a couple of times for crying out loud!!!

I would like to add that Pelini can't be faulted for our running back fumbling and terrible punter protection in the blocked punt. Those two stumbly bumbly plays may have been the difference in our game yesterday. On the other hand, every time we have played a better team, we see the same stumbly bumbly BS. Will this ever end?

Don't forget though, I did say this was a lock when I first saw the point spread. Did anyone listen to me here?!
