Should be interesting how the Atlanta FO handles this bit of news until the next FA period.

I would like to keep him on the team, but he is our 3rd best LB'r and will cost millions to resign. We have a couple of youngsters as backups that might be ready to step in.
Since he says he wants to go to Atlanta, do we try to trade him after TC once Pete has a better feeling if the backup(s) can fill in without much drop off?

Blah blah blah. We have been hearing of our demise since we won the SB. Not worried.
The Seahawks will have a better team this year than last year. The Pats? :tsk:

I'd say get rid of him now if he's set on being there and Atlanta wants him. I have plenty of confidence Pierre-Louis can fill the role. Bruce is a solid player, but his dumbass penalties have cost Seattle plenty over the past two years.

I think they could get ATL to trade for him this year but SEA has to come with a FA to be type return. As of today the Falcons are looking at the rookie, Beasley, and Clayborn to bring the QB heat...that's not enough and Quinn knows that.

The NFL is designed bring parity to the field. I like our team just fine.

they definitely have a good foundation there...

but again, ive seen flashes in the pan come and go SO many times since 2001.

the bengals apparently are STILL coming...the ravens are a dynasty with flacco...etc etc

LOL. You think Irvin was a big part of this defense? If Wagner said this then I'd be concerned. The only reason that what Irvin does works fairly well is because of all the talent around him, specificallyk Wright and Wagner. If it were Wagner saying this then I'd be concerned.

Like I said Rock, Blah Blah.
It is my opinion Seattle is a lot more than a flash in the pan.

And that's why I don't think he's going anywhere this year. Irvin playing for a big contract is worth more than that 6th or 7th rounder (maybe a 5th on a good day) we would be likely get in return.

Losing Maxwell was a much bigger deal. This guy was like the 8th best player on defense (if that) before Maxwell left so now I guess I'd bump him up to 7th. And how the hell does he know? He's just shooting out of his ass. If he isn't then there's obvious tampering going on (which there isn't, because I doubt anybody is drooling over the chance to pick up Irvin). Quinn obviously knows how to use him but he'd be drooling over Wagner.
