Team Player
Sometimes sitting a superstar is the best way to get the rest of your team to step up (think Marty going down and the team playing great in front of Clemmensen).
I wasn't really all that impressed with the flyers yesterday. After what they did to pit i thought we would get pounded 6-2. I think the flyers might overlook this matchup esp sice taking Pitt out quickly. If it wasnt gor harrolds mistake and Marty turnover the flyers didn't really have to work for their goals except giroux. The overtime goal I think couldve been waived off.
I was very shocked at how close that game was.
“You look around the series and great players go through stretches where things aren’t working for them
That's true when they're trying and giving it all. that's not the case. Kovy hasn't gone Kovy at all.... Deboer, you hiding something!
Therapy? Again with the vague terms!
gm 1 was the game to steal. We caught them rusty and napping. Problem now, they woke up and went 1 up on us. Not a series killer, but had we taken that game, defintely leaves room for error in the series and maybe boosts our guys up.
Which OT goal? the first should've and was overturned but not the second one. Didn't see anything alarming then.

Are you on fucking crack?! No Kovy, No Marty in a MUST WIN game? Why not just hand them the series cause if we dont win tomorrow buh bye. I know I said this against Florida but I still don't know how we got thru them but this is Philly and we all saw them destroy the Penguins at full strength and health so this time it's the truth.
Replay show that the guy skating in front on Marty hit his stick and then his upper body as the puck arrived... I thought it should have been interference because he was not pushed... but as Marty said in the post game... the guy hit my stick and it affected me from stoping the puck... but since the refs already overturned one in OT then sure as hell were not gonna do it again... .it was close but I was shocked it wasnt called (although being a die hard devil fan, no one is shocked by that statement....)
All in all, game 1 is done.. lets steal one from game 2 and take home ice advantage.....
Official NHL Rules said:69.1 Interference on the Goalkeeper - This rule is based on the premise that an attacking player’s position, whether inside or outside the crease, should not, by itself, determine whether a goal should be allowed or disallowed. In other words, goals scored while attacking players are standing in the crease may, in appropriate circumstances be allowed. Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal; or (2) an attacking player initiates intentional or deliberate contact with a goalkeeper, inside or outside of his goal crease. Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact. The rule will be enforced exclusively in accordance with the on-ice judgment of the Referee(s), and not by means of video replay or review.
For purposes of this rule, “contact,” whether incidental or otherwise, shall mean any contact that is made between or among a goalkeeper and attacking player(s), whether by means of a stick or any part of the body.
The overriding rationale of this rule is that a goalkeeper should have the ability to move freely within his goal crease without being hindered by the actions of an attacking player. If an attacking player enters the goal crease and, by his actions, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to defend his goal, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.
If an attacking player has been pushed, shoved, or fouled by a defending player so as to cause him to come into contact with the goalkeeper, such contact will not be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player for purposes of this rule, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.
If a defending player has been pushed, shoved, or fouled by an attacking player so as to cause the defending player to come into contact with his own goalkeeper, such contact shall be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player for purposes of this rule, and if necessary a penalty assessed to the attacking player and if a goal is scored it would be disallowed.
