I live in Connecticut, I told my dad, and anyone who would listen at the beginning of the season, if somehow the Bengals can make the big game, I'd do what I had to do to get a ticket and get there

I'm not scared of the cold weather. I'm scared of the fact that the Days Inn in New Jersey is even getting 700+ per night for a room. Tickets in the upper endzone are currently running at 3700 dollars a piece. Plus a flight. Now you're looking at 5000 bucks before you even set foot in New York...... And with the way the folks on this board drink, you know we aren't getting out of there without a bunch of more Benjamins spent on some liquor.

if it snows like it is supposed to, tickets will be dirt cheap(superbowl wise) come gameday....

no way all those corporate pink hats sit through a bad weather game.

Funny that there is a distinct possibility of me going to New York (for non football related reasons) at that time of year... certainly makes me wonder.

Fly into CT, its probably a little cheaper. You can take the train into NYC and I'm sure they will have shuttles to the stadium, since they do for regular games.

Hell, you guys can crash with me!

I'm sure most of the tristate airports will get in on the price gouging. I'd bet you would still pay a premium to fly into Hartford.

5 grand pays off my wifes medical bills and gives us an extra 350 a month for deposable income. So count me out. I will spend the extra money to get all the fixin's food wise, alcohol, theme it up a little. Might cost me about 200 bucks. I canlive with that and enjoy my day until the Bengals get their ass kicked in the SB, and I want to go on a murder spree following the game to get some aggression out of me. But it would be a damn good day leading up to that point. Either the murder spree or my wife is going to get drilled like I am in prision trying to break rocks with my dick.

New Jersey is the wealthiest state per capita and also the most densely populated. Connecticut is the second wealthiest state and fourth in population density. New York City has three times as many people as any city in the US.

This is going to be the most expensive ticket in the history of professional football by a huge margin.

Especially if the two teams have a big national following (Dallas, Denver, San Fran, New England)
