Do they realize they aren't as good as they thought and lose confidence in themselves and Harbaugh who also put in a hideous performance or do they learn from this that even though they are a good team they have to show up and play and can't mail it in. Agreed! Next week could be an early pivotal game for us especially with Arizona about to take command of the NFCW

Hopefully this was just "one of those days" for the 49ers. I could see they weren't into it right from the start. When they gave up that 3rd and 11 right before they went down 14 -3 I shut the game off and went to play golf. I knew what was coming.

We remember the losses the great teams from the '80s - You can tell when it just isn't going to happen - Today certainly felt like some of those losses. But, to your point, next week determines that more than today.

I'll be interested to see how Harbaugh reacts if the Jets win and he has his first 49er losing streak. I knew the Viking game was a "trap" game but I did not think Harbaugh would allow the team to just disolve out there like they did. I thought he'd have them prepared.

I didnt get to watch the game today but I had the chance to see one play. It was Alex eluding pressure in the pocket, rolling to the right and waiting for a linebacker to sack him! I truly dont understand why he still has not learned how much time you have to either pick a target or throw the ball away.

You're crazy dood. I don't think anyone has got the best the 49ers have to offer yet, except maybe Green Bay. And I can't even say that since special teams let the Packers back in the game.
