Once the names Tebow and Vince Young got mentioned, this post lost all credibility with me. Let's move on to actual " realistic " shall we. :)

"Excellent" Te`s you say. Love to hear which ones cause I can`t think of any. Doesn`t mean there isn`t. I just can`t think of any former college Qbs that turned out to be excellent Te`s in the NFL with my poor data bank mind. Please refresh me Sir.

Yep. Better shot than Vince Young getting another shot in the Nfl anyway. ;)

I think we should trade for Blaine Gabbert and play him at FB.

It is almost like there is more to the game than just being the right size.

Yes there is and for you trying to tell me Tim Tebow would not make a TE is asinine . He is a stud and CB's are Nervous to tackle him LB'ers would have a time keeping up ..He is what you look for IMO in a TE .

Yep. He has the size at 6'3 and 240+ lbs. I guess that makes him a shoe-in for having great hands, running routes and blkg the edges, etc. Yep. Just " look" like a stud and being a decent Te in the NFL is a given. Wow.

You don't have to convince me - I'm game for Timmy in a multiple threat role - you have to convince Timmy!

I feel like I lost some IQ points reading this thread. Tim Tebow is not the answer to any question involving the words, "how do I improve my professional football team?" Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him on my flag football team. But, no thanks to a 2nd stint with the Broncos for ol' Timmy.

As for the original question, I think someone like VD or Cook would be the best we can do, although I would prefer Lance Kendricks if we're talking to the Rams. I would love a guy like LaDarius Green, but I don't see the Chargers doing that. Maybe a Gavin Escobar from Dallas? Or somebody on the OLine. Maybe Kenechi Osimile (I could not have spelled that worse if I tried) from Baltimore. He's in his contract year and they are not expecting to sign him back. He could fill in at RT or either G.

Multiple threat role? What kind of offense does Chip Kelley run? If Timmy Try Hard can't make it with Kelly I'm pretty sure that ship has sailed. There is no evidence that TRT can play in the NFL pick a position/role.

I might be wrong here - lord knows it wouldn't be the first time - but what I am reading here about Tim Tebow strikes me more of commentary towards our current offensive players than about actually bringing Tebow THE PLAYER back ..

I will preface this by saying I loved Tebow - he singlehandedly infused fire and a winning attitude into a dead franchise .. Yes, going into that game vs the Dolphins, the Broncos were a pathetic organization ..

With completely limited skills, he put not just the offense - but the entire organization and fan base on his back and carried everything to a miraculous playoff win ..

So when I see posts about bringing a guy with that type of fire back - I think it is a desperate plea based on the fact that our 2 offensive "superstars" are soft, excuse riddled primadonnas who tend to disappear in the clutch

Tebow wanted to be a QB for Kelly - it is well established he can't make it as a QB. My understanding is that Tim Tebow doesn't want to be a slash type player because his dream was to be a pro QB. His fit has always been as a guy who could line up anywhere on the field - to run, catch, block or pass.

No, I don't know how suitable he is right now for the role, but coming out of college - I always wanted the Broncos to use him that way. Tim Tebow's run was one of my favorite season runs all time for Bronco teams.

Lucas I like your statement about Tebow but I think the man can be a stud TE . After realizing no QB has never made a TE in the NFL that is just wild to my thought process .. I thought the Cowboys had done it with some of there TE's ..I still say Tebow could be a good TE ...

I'm pretty sure that Alex Gibbs could play and dominate on the OL for us.

His sweat alone maks our OL 6 times better. Just buy his sweat and drip it on the OL.
