Forever? 4 down seasons after a SB victory = you're fired? I would've killed for Elway as GM for almost 20 years.



Ozzie Newsome picked up some pretty s**tty QBs as well (including one of the guys on your list). Should the Ravens have fired him too?

Some teams go 30 years without having success like Elway did. He's had some bad draft picks, but it takes a while to rebuild.

or they can just have someone else pick the QBs for them. Ozzie did pretty good for the most part.

It’s pretty simple really, there isn’t an owner that holds Elway accountable and will fire him. Since Pat Bowlen stepped down due to Alzheimer’s, there is a trio of bozos running the franchise. I’m not a fan of Elway as GM, but frankly the issue is lack of one strong leader at the ownership level which the Broncos enjoyed for years with Bowlen.
