Haven't read many of the comments. Is wiggy talking outta his ass again? I mean that fella's had nonstop issues about Whiteside for a couple of years. So I doubt if his opinion on this topic is unbiased.

my point is, was, and will always be is that Whiteside was hindrance, and hurt their pursuit of Butler, and that in order to get rid of his bloated useless salary they had to take back a worthless center making 11 million a year and give up a first round pick.

So we gave up a 1st round pick that would've been in the teens at best, and took on an expiring contract. So what's the big deal again?

its rare the player that is so bad - that even when he is on an expiring contract- you have to take back a useless player making 8 figures and give up a first round pick to get rid of.

now THAT is a rarity in the NBA. lol

You weren't asked about Mozgov. So no, you still haven't answered the question you were asked.

News flash - if TT was on the Heat, he would've been in the same position as Whiteside - used to free up salary to get Jimmy Butler.

im just trying to give you a nice comparison so it can remedy your lack of understanding

Whiteside is to Butler as Mozgov is to LeBron

Whiteside, just like Mozgov, was a useless shit bag of a contact that had to be purged - and it took assets to purge him- and the team would have been better of not even having him in the first place.

not sure what is so diffficult to understand here.

Its basically like paying to have a giant 3 ton lump of shit delivered to your arena, and then being happy about having to pay to have it removed- when its your own fault that it is even there in the first place!!!.

no way....as i said......Its is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY rare that, in order to get rid of an expiring contract, you have to BOTH give up a first rounder AND take back an 8 figure shit bag contract.

I mean, usually expirings have their own value--- but Whiteside's contract was so putridely toxic that you had to (i) give up a first rounder AND (ii) take back a smaller shit bag contract.

It is the rare putrid expiring contract that requires both but, not to my surprise, Whiteside is that rarity! lol

I mean Iguadala is ancient and expensive and the Warriors didnt have to take back any money - just a pick.

Whiteside is supposed to be in the prime of his career and the Heat had to give up a first rounder AND take back an 8 figure awful contract of a guy who probably wont even play to get rid of him

that kind of two-fer is fucking a RARITY. ESPECIALLY, ESPECIALLY considering he was an expiring contract himself! its almost too hilarious for me to even contemplate.

for fucksake-- Mozgov had like 3 years left on his deal and the Lakers actually got back a first rounder in the deal!!!! they had assets coming back the other way!!!

I cant express how rare it is to have to (i) give up a first rounder, and (ii) take back an 8 figure contract of a guy who likely wont even play- to get off of an expiring deal--- not a contract that ran 3 more years- an EXPIRING contract!

As i said MOZGOV wasnt even expiring! he had 3 years left and the Lakers got assets back!!! it just goes to show you the value (or should i sat TOTAL AND COMPLETE lack-there-of) that GM's put on Whiteside.

You do realize that you have to make the salaries match to a certain point? Or are you just talking out of your ass again? Don't answer that.

Btw, what are the Cavs doing again? Chasing the ever-ending tanking cloud?

Ummmm, dumbass that's because D'Angelo Russell was included in the deal who was a valuable asset. Of course the Lakers got back a 1st rounder.

LOL Mozgov had 3 years left on his deal!!!!!!!!

If Whiteside had 3 years leftn on his deal youd have go give up a 24 year old D.Wade to get rid of him!!!!!! LOL
