Money was never an issue. Still isn’t. You’re the only one that brought it up.

CP3 makes more money than Lebron. Is he the better player? Would you rather have him on your team?

You claimed I took him only because he was a Cavalier. Let's try again and see if you will answer the question. This is all the info you get. Have to pick one for next season....

A) coming off season of 12/11 and 29 years old for $27.1 mil
B) coming off a season of 10/10 and 27 years old for $18.5 mil

Do you pick A or B?

** was funny you thought mentioning CP3 and Lebron comparison mattered when it came to money/production as one offers far more production than the other. In a case where production is similar, money will matter more.

I thought he had a few more years, if he is expiring that is the majority of his trade value.

Sure he gets a double double, but players that have a range of 3 feet and also can't protect the rim don't have a ton of value. He has to be paired with a rim protecting stretch player to work. He requires a very particular fit.
Cannot protect the rim? The beauty of TT is he can go out and cover someone on the perimeter (HW cannot). If they wanted to keep TT inside at all costs he could have more blocks.

"Has to be paired with a rim protecting stretch player to work"?

Are you saying Love is a rim protector, or that the pairing of those 2 didn't work?

Ya gotta love this forum.

Lol, why is this so hard for you to understand? MONEY ISNT AN ISSUE. It’s about who is the better player.

If we go by your logic, why don’t we go back a mere 4 years ago when Whiteside wasn’t even making $1m?

when players' production is so similar we will look at other factors like money and age. Simple question and you wont answer. It's A or B. What has you so stumped? You not answering is the answer, huh?

I am saying it did not work with Love and Thompson. Cavaliers allowed opponents to hit 67% of their field goals within 5 feet of the rim. By far the worst in the league. The second worse team is closer to the 15th ranked team than they are to the Cavs.

Do you love this forum because they can look deeper than 2 stats and you can't follow it?

Those are some fun cherry picked stats.

Who would you pick for next season.

A) coming off season of 21/4 and 29 years old for $32.7 mil
B) coming off a season of 18/5 and 24 years old for $27.5 mil

A is Klay Thompson
B is Wiggins

Wiggins is a better value than Klay Thompson!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone wants him on their team!!!!!!

I love it because you said something cannot work when this was the result......

I also found it amusing that someone thought comparing Lebron and CP was the same as HW and TT. Amusing an adult wont answer a simple multiple choice question

A fair point, but TT and HW are pretty much asked to do the same thing for their teams.

I'm still laughing you think a combo of TT and Love can't work though.

You are correct I did not factor in who might be the best player in the history of the game. If you add him to your roster you can ignore a lot of short comings. We have seen the TT results when he is paired without a rim protector and no James. It was a layup line.

Laugh all you want. Worst Defense in the league at the rim by a large margin speaks for my side. What exactly did you have?

You think it's because of TT that a team that was built to play WITH Lebron struggled when Lebron left?

You claimed TT and Love could not have success. You were wrong. It's OK to just say so.

wiggins and Klay are asked to do the same thing for their team? You should have started out by saying you didn't understand the game. Could have saved us time.

So tell me the difference then?

Klay is a different type of player because he’s a better shooter and scorer. That’s the only thing.

Both play the same position, both are the #2 or #3 option on the team. Neither are expected to be primary ball handler.

You’re confusing the fact Klay is clearly a better player.

But cute attempt at the trash talk though Wiggy 2.0

And in the world according to dtgold88, the way to judge the better player is but how much money he makes?

There is a reason I am not chiming in....the Cavs defense was pretty awful...like really awful but that definitely has a lot to do with the defense as whole...so bad on the perimeter and inside LOL.
TT did only play half the season and Love didn't play much at all BUT the Love-TT combo isn't necessarily bringing defense to the court. Love is an amazing rebounder and stretch 4, he can play on the block when needed. I actually would like him to play on the block A LOT more this season. TT is a great rebounder (offensively especially), a big that can guard the perimeter but can't really protect the rim. At one point in his career he was decent but really wasn't his purpose.

I can't figure out if you are this obtuse for the joke, or you really think you are on a winning argument here.

Just about every team that has a championship still has areas that they are weak. Cavs front court was extremely lacking in the front court because Love and Thompson are not compatible. The Cavs won a chapmionship because the TEAM was better in other areas.

Your argument is no different than your points and rebounds argument with Thompson and Whiteside. All you can see is the surface level on basketball.

Of course it was....But Butler or no Butler, do you think the Heat wanted him to pick up his option or would they rather have lost him for nothing?

Obviously lost him for nothing so that his salary freed up from the cap. Don't know how that point drives home TT being better than WH though?
