Wake up Wiggy.
James said he'd come off the bench if it improved the team.
It was during the time when Love was struggling big time, and
clearly was directed his way (unless u think James makes the Cavs better by not starting).

As far as Whiteside, he leads the league in blocks and is top 10 in 3
more categories.

Let me know what Gasol, Drummond, and Cousins are dominating because I'm not seeing much that is helping their team accomplish anything.
All good players.
All not paying off vs what they earn.
lol....well i just proved you wrong again- LeBron never said or even suggested love should come off the bench. its just too easy.

"perhpas the most dominant center in the league" is playing behidn AMARE STOUDEMIRE!!! omg...honestly, it just keeps getting better and better. Everyday something new.

Do you honestly think James was talking about benching himself?
I'm not ruling it out based on your other idiocy and lack of common sense.

Wiggy can't think logically and/or use critical thinking. Unless it's in black and white, plain as day, he's not going to grasp it. And if you provide it to him and it doesn't agree with it since it doesn't back his opinion, he'll often refute it.

From a skill set perspective, Whiteside is superior to Tristan.

From a NBA Team/Basketball perspective, I don't want either of these guys.

Whiteside is talented but he's a noted headcase. You can't deny his statistical impact, but there's a reason why he's still not getting major minutes. It's because his basketball IQ is relatively low. He's going to get paid big bucks in this off-season and I wouldn't want to invest that much in such a high risk player.

Tristan is a good player, but he's never going to live up to his contract. Basically the Cavs just gave in to him because of Lebron, which is unfortunate for them, great for Tristan. The Cavs best course of action would have been to low ball him after their initial offer was refused. They held all the cards. Worst case scenario is that they would have matched a RFA offer or had TT take the one year qualifying offer and have him be a beast in his contract year.

TT is a great offensive rebounder, but he's doesn't provide much more than that and put backs on the offensive end. On defense, he's a solid defender, but not spectacular.

Whiteside is going to get north of 18M a year in the off-season from some desperate team. I wouldn't want to be that team. I also wouldn't want to be the team paying Tristan 16M a year either.

I think Whiteside's decent and has the tools to be great. But at this juncture, I don't want pay Whiteside anywhere near $18 million. If the Heat could re-sign him for $10-$12 mil per year, then I'd be good with it. But there are going to be a couple of GM's out there with cap space that are going to throw tons of money at him.

He'd honestly be a bargain at that amount. I'm not even holding out hope that Festus Ezeli will get that from Free Agency. This free agent period is going to be insane.

I agree. There's definitely going to be some questionable contracts.

Start with Harrison Barnes. LOL to anyone giving him more than 16M a year.

Someone will though, he's a good player. But not $16 mil per good.

I don't know his situation or him personally. But it wouldn't surprise me if he's willing to go to a team like the Kings who have no future, but are willing to throw money at him. If things work the way they are, and Golden St. wins, he'll have two rings and can say he's won multiple times.

He's a young guy that needs to capitalize on his earning potential. I wouldn't fault him at all for just going for the biggest money offer possible. He's already won a championship, so that will forever be in his memory bank.

Some team will throw big dollars at him. I'm really unsure if the Warriors will match, tbh. I think it'll come down to the Warriors if they feel they can replace him with either cheaper parts or financial flexibility going forward. Or a certain superstar hitting free agency...

Really haven't seen too much evidence of him grasping even black and white, plain as day concepts.

Maybe not anymore-with the speculation of cartlidge problems in his knee. This could really change the moves the Warriors make in the off-season knowing they might not have options at the Center spot.

Yup, agree 100%. One interesting name that might be out there as a backup plan for the Warriors might be Joakim Noah. He fits what the Warriors want to do both offensively and defensively. He's coming off injury too, so I'm not sure what his market value would be.

I'm not sure he can go to another team and fit in so seamlessly though. It would be a shame if he left chasing money and wound up on a bad team that doesn't win. All that talent being wasted with no reward other than his paycheck. I hope that's not what he has in mind.

That one is tough. I know he's a hustle guy and if healthy could really provide great value in that Center spot, but can he stay healthy? Honestly, I think if they go that route Bogut would be looking a more time based on Noah always being injured. Not sure at this point if that's a good idea for Bogut or the team.

I think in that case it would be more of a time share. I think both not having to play major minutes would help reduce some of the injuries they've had in the past. It would just depend on the type of role Noah is looking for at this point. He wouldn't be asked to play more than 20 minutes a game (probably Bogut either).

If Noah can stay healthy. The more I think about it, I would want them to explore other options.

Other options other than Noah? It'll be interesting to see which direction the team takes. With a core of Curry, Klay and Draymond, they really don't need anything more from the center position other than rim protection. Passing is a bonus. For me, Noah fits both of those perfectly.

I think a lot will depends on three big things:

1) Durant
2) Barnes
3) Ezeli

It all starts with Durant and will be a trickle down process. If Durant doesn't want to come to GS, then the Warriors have to decide immediately what to do with Barnes. I doubt they keep him at a max contract but if the offer is in the 16M range, what they offered initially, they'll match and figure out what to do later.

Ezeli's injury is the huge x-factor here. The Warriors will have to decide if he's just injury prone and if they want to pay him depending on what the market is offering.

This is my point about Noah. If he's injury prone why waste time bringing him in and having to deal with the headache of the other guys having to over compensate when he's out? Because honestly, it's not a matter of if he's out but rather when.

I'm pretty sure there will be other guys willing to go to GS to just provide rim protection-maybe even take a pay cut just to be on a winning team. That's what I mean by other options.
