More reason why you should not talk if you did not watch the game.

1) whiteside was never intentionally fouled. Teams stopped using hack a hassan since November

2) if a team is switching the pick and rolls, every team will team going to get match up as a center is obviously big and slow and would have difficulty staying in front of a point guard.

I'm done discussing this with the class clown.
His 100000 words of nonsense is voided by his lack of saying one word which is "yes" and accepting the bet.

His best argument if favor of Tristan has been that it doesn't matter if he is overpaid because Cavs won't have any cap space anyway.

There isn't one part of Tristans game other then rebounding that he would even be considered more than average at AT BEST.

are you seriously trying to make some kind of argument that Whiteside is even half as good as Drummond or Cousins or Gasol?

He's def on the level of importance of any C in the league, in as far as what he does best, he does better then anyone.

None of the 4 will ever be the best player on a championship winning team, however the other 3 teams have paid and hoped for their C to be that guy.

W/L speak for themselves.

Plus Cousins has been a multi year nut case and you rave on him, Whiteside pushed a guy, once.

Of the 4, all even up, and all things considered, as of today I'd prob take Drummond.

Chris Paul runs four straight pick-and-roll plays to isolate Hassan Whiteside and expose the fact he wouldn't dare step out to defend. Doc Rivers yells "Keep doing it until they stop it, damn it." Spoelstra responds by putting Bosh back in the game. Doc sees Bosh at scorers table and says they're getting a mobile big in the game. Bosh tells Doc, "I ain't a big any more. Though y'all knew that."

Doc Rivers just told the referee in advance that the Clippers would be intentionally fouling Hassan Whiteside seconds before it happened. Sort of like he was ordering from a menu. Doc then turns to scorers table and sarcastically jokes, "Y'all like this intentional fouling stuff? Well, me too."
lol....too funny

WHAT YOU GUYS DIDNT QUOTE DOCS quote? just Steve Clifford sucking off Whiteside? LOL...not Doc Rivers just EXPLOITING him OVER AND OVER defensively.....

its just so awesome...through all the noise, i can pretty much get on here every other day or so and see a LEGITIMATE criticism of Whitesides get totally swept under the carpet by homers in rose colored glasses.

So- LET ME GET THIS STRAIHGIT--on one end the Clippers are running an action that just abuses Whiteside defensively- and on the other side they planned on putting him on the line because he sucks ass at shooting. SOUNDS LIKE AN ALL STAR TO ME BOYS!!!!! i cant wait to see the creativity to discount this...lol.

ohh Wins/losses speak for themselves? so mozgov is a lot better than whiteside? LOL god....you guys have your own little bullshit ideas...

me, ethan skolnick, michael wallace, doc rivers, rudy gobert, tom haberstroh, etc. etc. etc......its just too hilarious...i mean- that certainly does not have the posh and sterling rep that TURNUPTHEHEAT has, but i guess we will have to live with it, lol.

that doc stuff cracks me up--- when Whiteside is on defense- keep putting him in the pick and roll until he is getting so abused the other team has to take him off- and on offense- telling the refs- were gonna hack this guy and send him to the line, LOL...it just doesnt get any better.

You do realize that Whiteside still gets more minutes then Amare, don't you? Before you talk shit about starting though, this was the same crap you were saying with Thompson and Love in terms of minutes distribution; more specifically, it doesn't matter if you start but how many minutes that you play.

But hey, continue on with your hopeless crusade.

being a backup behind an in-his-prime all star like Kevin Love---- and a washed up league minimum reserve Amare Stoudmire is TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS, lol

its an acknowledgment- that a floor spacer is more important to the team than whatever whiteside does with his phony blocks.

I wasn't aware that Love was an all-star. Could've sworn other forwards made it in over him.

From a skill set perspective, Whiteside is superior to Tristan.

From a NBA Team/Basketball perspective, I don't want either of these guys.

Whiteside is talented but he's a noted headcase. You can't deny his statistical impact, but there's a reason why he's still not getting major minutes. It's because his basketball IQ is relatively low. He's going to get paid big bucks in this off-season and I wouldn't want to invest that much in such a high risk player.

Tristan is a good player, but he's never going to live up to his contract. Basically the Cavs just gave in to him because of Lebron, which is unfortunate for them, great for Tristan. The Cavs best course of action would have been to low ball him after their initial offer was refused. They held all the cards. Worst case scenario is that they would have matched a RFA offer or had TT take the one year qualifying offer and have him be a beast in his contract year.

TT is a great offensive rebounder, but he's doesn't provide much more than that and put backs on the offensive end. On defense, he's a solid defender, but not spectacular.

Whiteside is going to get north of 18M a year in the off-season from some desperate team. I wouldn't want to be that team. I also wouldn't want to be the team paying Tristan 16M a year either.

He took his spot because they wanted to feature whiteside more so he's the star of the 2nd unit. Still plays more than Amare. Doc Rivers even think it was a brilliant move

We can say you're still a moron when discussion basketball and especially the Heat.
Heat aren't always by the book, traditional.
There were times during the Big 3 era during the playoffs when we'd start UD at center and he'd play 4-5 minutes a half.

If you want to play for the Heat, you better leave your ego at the door .
James suggested Love to come off the bench last season if you recall.

Doc Rivers is the only coach in the NBA who thinks Austin should be in the league more than likely.

no he didnt. i actually remember what he said without just making something up....go back and look.

and i KNEW you would not dissapoint..."possibly the most dominant center in the nba" coming off the bench....its just too funny at this point.

Wake up Wiggy.
James said he'd come off the bench if it improved the team.
It was during the time when Love was struggling big time, and
clearly was directed his way (unless u think James makes the Cavs better by not starting).

As far as Whiteside, he leads the league in blocks and is top 10 in 3
more categories.

Let me know what Gasol, Drummond, and Cousins are dominating because I'm not seeing much that is helping their team accomplish anything.
All good players.
All not paying off vs what they earn.

Those three are clearly the best 3 centers in the NBA. I don't know how anyone could really dispute that.

Perhaps they are, but Wiggy is comparing Whiteside to them, even in an inferior way, then why even mention Whiteside in a conversation with Tristan?

Whatever gap there is between those 3 C and Whiteside is at least the gap between Whiteside and Tristan.

Oh gotcha. I didn't understand the context. I skipped over this thread until now, so I didn't understand your post.
