Maybe create a thread called ‘I get off by trying to argue with people on sports threads’ ?
Says the guy trying to argue with someone on a sports thread.

You and others could create the following......
*I love calling people out for arguing while I argue
*I love calling people out for wanting the last word while I try to get the last word

I answer all direct questions.

Not deaf.

Like you she is big on deflection. She's also wrong a lot, but more apt to let it go with her. Are you someone's wife?

Ive been with my wife since we were 16,17 years old.
So no, but sometimes I do carry her purse.

As far as deflection, hows it going with the asset to Portland post?

Not sure what you are talking about with Portland. You think HW was an asset needed to get Butler, or could Butler have been acquired had HW declined his option?

Opt out of 27M right lol

They gave up a draft pick just to take on Meyers Leonard's dead salary for the final year of his deal...It don't get more cut and dry than that.

Philly was more than willing to let Butler walk to Miami strictly for Josh Richardson and not have any picks involved. It was not that simple, however, because Miami had too much dead salary stored in-house.
I mean this is common sense to (a) everyone that has a brain or (b) anyone that is not lying to themselves

did they not? If not, my bad. Thought they lost a 1st rounder.

But wont change the fact you think he was an asset needed to acquire Butler.

Could the Heat have acquired Butler had Whiteside not picked up his option?
A) yes
B) No

It was a good move but irrelevant to this discussion. Whiteside was not an asset. He was an obstacle to get Butler.
again.....this is 100% clear to anyone with a brain.

The opposite is like trying to argue Jarret Jack helped the Cavs get LeBron back, or Timo Mozgov helped the Lakers get LeBron. Or Andrew Iguadala helped the Warriors get Russell.

The facts are- Whiteside signed a 4 year 98 million dollar contract- and it was an embarrassing failure that was pretty much instantly regretted and they had to take back equally worthless contracts--- one guy on an expiring deal that they had to give away a first round pick to get rid of--- and one guy even more worthless making 11million a year that is doubtful to even play.

The Heat dumping Whiteside after a disappointing, failure of a tenure is just so great.
