I will also say one more time..........I do not believe Taylor has turf toe.

I think it's all a bunch of bullshit. I believe the coaching staff knows how poorly they called that second half against UCLA on Offense and this is now a coverup. They knew that the questions would rise quickly......"why did you resort to throwing the ball deep in the 2nd half?"

Bo: "Taylor, we're gonna need you to put a boot on your foot and pretend like you couldn't run.......thank God we play South Dakota State this week. Just to be safe, we'll continue to pretend like you're still hurt during the week of practice leading up to the Illinois game."

You know how silly that Sounds?

Yay tmart no1 in passes under 10 yards
He's better then teddy B who will actually play qb and plays in a pro
Offense but no tmart is no1 in short dink and dunk passes

Seriously?!?:L

Got news for you, you can't dink and dunk all game and no OC is gonna call a sort game that doesn't involve some sort of deep passes. ESP if you hope to run since all the defenders would be I'm a box waiting for your dink and dunk passes.

But let's go ahead and crown tmart the most effecient qb under 10
Yards hahaha.:laugh3::laugh3:

:nono:

I shall crown my 9 year old that, sir.

Turf toe is a damn serious thing. It's kinda funny how their jumping around this conversation......one minute saying "he'll be ready...." and then the next minute "oh....yea....ummmm.....well, we're not really sure yet if he's okay."

Turf toe doesn't go away after a couple weeks. When it really starts to bother you, you got it for a while........it sucks.

Taylor doesn't have it though.

Taylor can make the deep passes.........

He just shouldn't be doing it 5 out of 6 plays.

The intermediate passing game sets up the deep pass. The intermediate passing game sets up the deep pass. The intermediate passing game sets up the deep pass. The intermediate passing game sets up the deep pass. The intermediate passing game sets up the deep pass. The intermediate passing game sets up the deep pass. Someone please send that message to Tim Beck.

I'm not so sure, something like that could never be kept a secret from the whole team, in turn the negative effects it would have with the rest of the team would be catastrophic knowing the truth of something like that

Your 9 year old doesn't have a quick enough release to be on Taylor's level in the intermediate passing game......

Sorry sir

My 9 y/o does not hesitate and knows how to lower his pads and get two yds on 3rd and 1.

He also knows to tuck the ball away when he's about to make contact.

I will leave on this note.....

Taylor Martinez has a very, very unique release. It's the quickest release I've seen in all of College Football.

This is why he has zero touch on the long ball, but is very good at completing the short range passes. He gives Defenses no time to react on the quick strikes towards the middle of the field.

I completely understand Taylor's limitations......but Tim Tebow had extreme limitations........Tommie Frazier completed 46% of his passes..........it's College Football. It's all on the coaches when you can't get a guy like Taylor to do what you need him to.

Taylor Martinez can make enough throws to run an unstoppable College Football Offense. I can't stand the fact that our coaching staff can't see that.......the fact that they think he can make ALL the throws, that is what it is holding us back. That is why Tim Beck thinks we can be ridiculously multiple.

I think beck protects tmart alittle and there are times beck let's everyone see what tmart can't do

You need to realize project tmart isn't a qb and unless you build around him he won't be successful

Taylor is a track and field sprinter turned QB. It's all he's ever been.

That's why everyone else who offered him offered as a safety. Pelini was the only one who promised QB.

Ucla said they only ran 5 defensive plays against us......

Try that aha isn't Boyd manziel teddy b or any other top qb and see what happens
Matter of fact ask cosgrove he did that against 07 Mizzou how that work out

I love Taylor and I'm thankful for what he has done but he's been a project qb and he doesn't scare anyone anymore running or passing

Tmart has been lucky top qbs see that they have no chance at fair qb competition and haven't come here

Or the fact Jamal turner was quickly push to wr instead of qb bc he was a legit threat to pass over tmart

Oops conspiracy theories

Prior to 2013, how many fumbles did Taylor Martinez have? 47. That is more than one fumble per game. Nebraska opponents are guaranteed to see Taylor drop the ball on the ground at least once per game.

Prior to 2013, how many interceptions did Taylor Martinez throw? 27.

Prior to 2103 how many times was Taylor sacked? 81. This is mostly a fault of the line and I think the coaches told Taylor to not always run the ball when in trouble. Taking a sack is better than an interception, but a fumble makes it just as bad.

That being said, in 2013, Taylor has only thrown one interception and he has only been sacked twice.

I will agree that Taylor should be the QB because he knows the system and his QB skills are very much improved. My biggest knock on him is the FUMBLING. Plus, now that he is coached to not always run, he has missed some tremendous HOLES that we all see on TV because he is told not to run the ball.

I look forward to seeing what Mr. Armstrong does this Saturday. Either my hopes and dreams will come to fruition or they will be crushed.

I have already thrown in the towel on the Cosgrove defense of 2013.

I agree with this /\/\/\/\. If Martinez can't or won't run he is useless as tits on a boar hog. Without his run threat he has been exposed. Put the pressure on him and he will make stupid decisions and he will fuck up, guaranteed.

Now with that said he has started since he was a rs with no competition so I don't think pulling him at this point is fair. Pelini made his bed he can lay in it.

I do agree as long as he is injured though he needs to sit. A large part of Pelini's failures have been from starting him when he isn't 100%.

Because this thread has gone the toilet really fast with someone saying Taylor is the best ever and that all Nebraska has to do is throw short passes and then we will be 14-0.

So all I will add is, "useless as tits on a boar hog"? Well, I think it depends on how big the tits are.

If Manziel was on our roster and hadn't played much JJM would still say Taylor gives us a better chance. Fact.

So strange that we didn't recruit Manziel. I know for a fact they saw him play bc him and Armstrong played each other multiple times. I wonder if we would have had a shot at him.
