We had to hit on a 4 star dual threat eventually. Looks like we did. I will say that it seems like there is no one within 10 yards of the wrs tommy is throwing to. Let's wait and see what happens when be plays a decent secondary. That was a bad defense we played today make no mistake.

Too bad Tommy kept throwing OVER them. Not sure if it was the wind or bad mechanics. I did see him throw leaning back and off the back foot a couple times and that is when the ball went high.

But I like QB Armstrong. Maybe we can call him Stretch Armstrong if he makes one of those runs again where he goes right and then turns and goes left.

Hey, like I said.....I'm where you guys are on this. I wish Tommy would start the rest of the year. This game today has me drinking the Tommy kool-aid. I'm on board now.

I guarantee you we will suffer some major disappointment somewhere along the road with Tommy starting........it's just bound to happen when you put all of your eggs into one young basket like that.

However, we are also going to suffer major disappointment somewhere along the road with Taylor starting. So yes, I am prepared to let Tommy take over. I just know that the coaching staff is a lot more well-grounded than are we fans who post anonymously on a random message board and they will do what any coach would do, which is start your veteran 4 year starter.

WELCOME ABOARD!!

I personally think the wind played a roll in Tommy throwing it high today on a few occasions. That 4th and goal pass to Foster floated away no doubt. It also didn't help that Foster looked like he was nervous as hell and didn't even adjust to the ball.

One thing that concerned me slightly was that his throws were definitely not tight spirals like Tito tends to get on his passes.........make no mistake about it, Taylor can spin it and he spins it well. Taylor just doesn't have the vision that a natural QB like Tommy has.

Tommy threw a whole bunch of wobblers today and like Brasky said, let's see what happens when we play a proven Defense.

Heard something about some injury from camp that T.A. is not 100% confident in being fully healed or some such...

Tommy had a minor surgery on his knee to get some stuff cleaned up.....they speculate it is still bothering him slightly.

Don't know how much I'd read into that though to be certain.

Tommy put a little too much loving touch on a couple of his throws today. I don't know if he's used to throwing in a central/northern Plains northwest wind quite yet. He'll learn to put more zip on it when necessary.

He's got other intangibles that this offense needs to fire on all cylinders. His elusiveness, and ability to get 2 tough yds opens it up. He also seems to have the attention and respect of his teammates.

Exactly.

It didn't take TA for me to see it though. I had hope for growth in Taylor going into last year, there was definitely some in passing, but at one point I just convinced myself that he'd maxed out in other aspects of the position. He gave it all, for that I give him great respect. Taylor was a very rough project from the get go. He only played QB in high school for one year. Everybody else wanted him as a safety and Bo gave him a chance.

The offense plays with a kick in it's step when TA's on the field.
