The Blue Jackets are desperate to build a connection with the community and get the type of fervor associated with the Ohio State University. They have a former OSU star, who LOVES it here, and has signed a deal. Why would they trade Umberger? Why?

I give Smyth credit for coming to L.I. & giving his best in helping the Isles make the playoffs in 2007.

The two things that bothered me were:

1.The Crying was ridiculous. Gretzky was traded on multiple occasions. Anybody can be dealt.

2.The Islanders offered him more money than Colorado did & he turned them down.

Fortunately Garth dumped a couple of guys Milpuke drafted in the 1st round along with a 1st round pick that's turninig into a bust. The Oilers got nothing in the deal.

3. all that bitching and moaning, and ultimately the trade... was because Oilers were willing to pay $6.0 million, but not $6.5 million as he was asking (demanding).
and then he played the "why me?" card. fuck him, and his mullett too.
