Always tough to see a legend go. This team wont be the same without their heart and soul. Hopefully Battier leaving for retirement doesnt make lebron, wade, and bosh bail too. it just might.

With Scrub Battier gone - it will make life easier for fans and the big 3 … this will give them more reason to stay in Miami because they know games will be easier and they will now have 15 quality players and people on the team..

This isnt sad news at all… this is the greatest news possible .. this should be another reason for the Heat to parade after winning the title… celebrate that scrub battier will no longer embarrass the greatness of a heat uniform

Oh Paula.....yeah right. Replace a 3 time state champion, NCAA champion and 2 time NBA champion with someone like you is not really an option. Cold it be that the Big 3 end up only winning championships with Shane Battier on their team? Now, we could replace you with a cardboard fan or a parrot but not Shane!

I am a Heat fan - not a Duke Fan or fan of whatever HS Scrub Battier went to - I am a Heat fan… And as a Heat player, Scrub Battier has been the Tim Teblow of the Heat… A useless, liability, embarassment waste of life, money and roster spot. He gets no credit for the titles we have won because he has had no impact in us winning any of them… and has actually almost single-handedly contributed to almost losing the previous two titles if it werent for someone else bailing him out.

The big 3 will continue to win championships without scrub battier just as they have done so the last two seasons.
