I use bluegill,pumpkinseed,shellcracker,molly,stompknocker, and redbreast. depends on what I'm looking at.

I miss panfishing the most. I used to go down to Smith Mountain Lake in the Spring. The people there would sink their old christmas trees in this one spot, and yo could kill it all day. 2lb line and a super ultralight made you think you were fighting 1 pound marlin!

I hear ya. That's all I use when going for flatfish. I will step up the line size though to either 4 or 6 lb test, just because I have hooked into some nice bass while out there. But you're right, you get a great fight from panfish on the ultra light gear.
