Wilson has a much higher ceiling

I'd counter with "who has a better chance at being a NFL QB under Sean Payton ?" ... Not to mention, the salaries .. Stidham is 5 million against the cap and Wilson 2.75 mil ( after the Jets agreed to pick up half the tab )

Zach’s numbers aren’t far off from Jake’s Cardinals days.

Both won about 36% of their starts. Both were sub 60% completions. Jake was better at throwing TDs, Zach was better at avoiding INTs.

Knowing how Jake performed when he came to Denver and was coached by Mike Shanahan, there might be something there for Zach with Payton…

He was an ERFA so it made him tough to go after. Bengals gave him an updated deal with more money and another year though which makes sense given Burrow's injury history.

But, in a Shanahan type offense....I think Zach could be better than he showed in NY.

I don't think he even needs to blossom - so much as not flop - some NFL team with have injured QBs and the Broncos could end up with a plus transaction - for sure. Lessor QB talents have hung on a lot longer than Zach Wilson.

I've come to really like Bo Nix ... Everything about him is positive and likable

But I have the feeling Zach Wilson is going to make the decision very tough on the staff

And to me, there is absolutely zero reason to keep Stidham around .. and I liked his signing last year ... Nobody believes he is a long term answer - and we could allocate that money to a player who'd make a much more significant impact .. #31

Nix has a lot of people excited about the possibility of being the face of the franchise .. and the door is not closed on that possibility with Zach Wilson ....

With Stidham, it's closed, bolted, shut and the DO NOT DISTURB sign is on the doorknob
