Yep but watch Taylor light the world on fire in his 40 and then have horrible cone drill/agility numbers.

I really would love to see how he looks throwing in that type of environment.

I really wouldn't be surprised if he was a top performer with how strong his arm is and how quick he gets the ball out.

He could turn some heads.

...Or fall flat on his face. That would be equally unsurprising. I have no doubt he will be invited as a quarterback though.

But Taylor is not agile. That is why he probably won't excel in those drills. He is stiff as a board. Can run fast in a straight line but that is it.

Taylor needs a lane 3 yds wide.

Give it to him and he's gone.

I think Taylor's best game of his career was this year at Michigan State.

Yes, he had amazing highlights in his Freshman season.......but they came against teams with horrendous Defenses.

Taylor lit up one of the best Defenses in the country in Michigan State with his feet......and he looked damn good doing it. Granted, he had a nice block by Kenny Bell on one of those plays that undoubtedly sprung him loose. Still though, we would have lost that game by 17 points if Taylor didn't go wild.

I would not give Taylor 5 NFL KR attempts before he would be declared legally dead on the field. They would have to peel him off the turf and donate his body to science.

From running too fast?

The best kickoff return men in the NFL ever were guys who just flat out ran fast..........you don't have time to juke and cut. 'Tis completely opposite of a punt return.

Kick returns are all about finding a lane..........all about blocking en sech.

Get a fast guy back there who can explode through open lanes, and you have gold.

From his glaring inability to avoid big hits. Open lanes are about 10 percent of the equation.

I mean, I will shit myself if I ever see Taylor playing on a Sunday.........literally, I will shit myself.

But I see a lot of worth in his ability to run in the open field.....and all kick returns are about is finding a way to create open field for a guy to literally run straight from one of the field to the other.

Nobody is going to take the chance though. Especially with his fumbling woes.

I agree he could have success. He will have to come into an extremely ideal situation. He is not the type of player who could be successful anywhere. It's gonna have to be a perfect storm.

I think somewhere out there is a spot on a team where he could seriously be a star. Just gonna be luck of the draw.

I see where you're coming from, but you are also seeing him in a situation where he has 5 yards to get on his horse and hit the 2nd level before he gets rocked by a LB......

On a kickoff return you have 15-20 yards to get to full speed and see a hole develop. I see it as being completely different. I would give him a chance in a heart beat........but then again, I am a different cat.

I can see him being drafted late, dropped in training camp and grabbed by a contender with room on the roster to dick around with an odd ball like him.

I'm also a Husker homer and a huge fan of Taylor.......

Any time a guy is willing to put up with all the bullshit that Taylor has had to put up with from the fans and the media, and then go and work as hard as he did and perform as well as he did............I am just a fan.

Joe Dailey.........not so much. Taylor Martinez, yes sir.....sign me up all day for a guy with an attitude like that.

Oh yeah, all it takes to be kick returner in the NFL is to be able to get a head of steam in that first 15-20 yards. Huh???? If it was that easy then every team would be signing track guys for their kickoff returns. How many times do you see a kickoff returner not get touched? Because that is what it would take for Taylor. He is terrible at finding holes unless her last name is Cook. He is constantly running right into contact. And no one gets hit and falls more awkwardly than Taylor.

Be a homer all you want to but that means you can't see reality.

Get real........

A kickoff return is all about opening a hole and hitting that hole..........

And if you don't have speed, you aren't going to get past the 30 yard line........FUCKING FACT.

Find speed. Put it in place. Teach it to be patient. Open a hole for it. And that is how you return a kick off. You rarely see the dancers get anywhere on a kickoff return.............they always make their waves on punt returns......there is a reason for that.

Taylor doesn't get his head taken off when he finds a hole......

And there is no situation in the game of football where holes can be created more than on a kickoff........

And that is all I have ta say about that.
