Garrett never would have the gonads to rip the helmet off Brett Favre because he knows Favre would kick his sorry ass.

I think it's pretty obvious Rudolph ain't no saint, there's just no excuse to be using a helmet as a weapon on someone's head, who is not wearing a helmet, out of any kind of malice. Shit happens incidentally in football, but that wasn't exactly a poor tackle.
Maybe 2 for rudolph, 4 for garret then.

I am guessing the NFLPA implications are going to prevent the NFL from bringing down any kind of "death penalty" of sorts. First time offender in the eyes of the NFL.

This is going to be awkward.

Anything more than 1 for trying to a yank another player's helmet off and escalating things (obvious Garrett took it up 10 notches in response) is probably pushing it for me. What Rudolph did is extremely stupid however. Usually, one might expect a shove for that kind of dumbassery from Rudolph... this was... excessive from Garrett.

I agree, i think the NFL is going to try to set a precedent of sorts here and lowwr the boom stick, what with all the concussion things and all anyways. And the NFLPA is going to fight them tooth and nail the whole way. You said it perfectly, its going to get awkward.
