Not sure I call that short term? 3 examples of a team with cap problems kicking the can down the road. Summary:

All 3 combined total contract: $98M
Year 1: $9.5M totally backloaded minimal year 1 cap hit
Year 2: $32.4M
Year 3: $39.8M
Year 4: $15.5M this is all dead money since all 3 will be gone if not extended. More dead money than year 1 cap hit
