Switching gears I liked Philly's pick. Interesting Philly picked a guy that isn't likely to start this year, but Peters time is almost done. As a matter of fact he may not make it through the year. People get so short sighted with the draft and think it's only for the next year and want immediate help only, but it's for the next 5 to 10 years. The only caveat is a backup WR or DB or DL can rotate in and contribute. A Backup OL really doesn't.
That's true. But it's also true that Peters is 37 years old and had to come out of multiple games this season. I'm not sure if they'll just plug the rookie in there or not. But it's likely he'll get a chance to get some playing time, however sporadic that may be.
