The bigger question is how does Ted Phillips have a job right now and why has he had his job for this long? If the McCaskey's won't sell the team then the very LEAST they should do is fire Phillips and hire an actual football mind as team president. Then give him the power to hire his own GM, which in turn the GM will hire his own coach. Nothing really changes if Trestman is fired.

Trestman will have a job based on the 21 point fourth quarter. Bears showed something not hibernating and wanting to get some warm soup. Marinelli went to the simple prevent defense and left the middle of the field wide open, just like the bears base defense. They wasted a time out and their hurry up defense has a snail pace that still aggrivates me. I think they were huddling with the clock running a little over 4 minutes.

Defense was being manhandled by 7 or 8 offensive linemen and Murray is a stud. 4.37 speed that hits a seam before its there.

whoa whoa whoa...hold on here. No they haven't. Not even close. That run from 1992 through 2004 was FAR WORSE, and far longer. In case you've forgotten, we were coming off of like a decade of good and great teams, and then bang, 5-11, 7-9, two 9-7 years, and then a 9 year run with exactly one winning season, including three 4-12 years.

A little perspective here people. Yes, this year's team is disappointing, but let's not get completely carried away here.
