In many threads, following this game, there have been mentions of regular-season plays that might or might not have been better, among them the MNF miracle and RGIII's 70+ yard run. Here is your chance to rank this play among those historical moments. This is created for good conversation/debate only, so if you don't think that it's the best ever, please include the one(s) that you'd rank higher. Let's have some fun with this one!

You have to factor in this was #1 versus #2, and that both are already considered good to great QBs. That is the significance of this play.

Then add in the stupidity of the coaches and the antics of Stevenson, that adds to a play that rarely works, but is seen almost weekly.

So, I would put this play above any I can remember off the top of my head.

Add to that Daniels was playing hurt.

I'd have to sit down and do some research on that. I would only be able to speak to 82 to present. This might be a question for the OGs.

Not allowing me to use Riggins' run, Daryl Grant's TD in 82, Green's PR in Chicago, Green's breakup in 87..cough, cough....Nelson's drop, makes this question difficult.

Off the top of the head:

RG3 Minnesota
Clinton's first carry vs. Tampa Bay
Santana in Dallas
Sean Taylor's return vs Dallas
Green tracking Dorsett
Santana's turn and burn vs Jacksonville
Gary Clark's 2nd TD at the Meadowlands in 91
Gary Clark's turn and burn vs. Minnesota
Moseley's kick in the snow vs the Giants

I'd have to keep thinking.

Yeah, I'd say that all of the playoff/SB stuff carries more weight because... well... they were SB and playoff games. It does make it tougher to call when the limit is the regular season. Good luck with your research.

It is one of the most iconic plays in the team's regular season history. On October 8, 1973, Ken Houston made a clutch tackle of Walt Garrison at the 1-yard line as time expired, sealing a 14-7 win for Washington over Dallas.
