I watched Veronica over the weekend. Not really too scary. I stayed into it the whole time, so I guess it was pretty good.

That movie has been on my Netflix list ever since it came out... Hopefully I can get around to watching it soon.I enjoyed it. Far from the "scariest movie ever" which was being thrown around, one scene stood out to me as the scariest/creepiest. Still an enjoyable film.
Unless you speak Spanish, you have to read subtitles. That is part of the reason I would rate it as good. My daughters and I still watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. I was a little bummed out about how it was claimed to be based off of a true story, but it wasn't even close. That movie has been on my Netflix list ever since it came out... Thanks for the heads up. I usually avoid subtitled movies, but I've recently started to come around to them. Train To Busan got too many good recommendations for me to ignore it any longer. I was glad I finally watched it.Unless you speak Spanish, you have to read subtitles. That is part of the reason I would rate it as good. Well I assume most standard horror films have more dialogue than a survival z-flick would. So you still have to be somewhat "picky" about subtitled films. General rule of thumb, the more action the better.Being one of those who recommended Train to Busan, it is ironic that I started watching Veronica only to be turned off by the subtitles.
Really enjoyed A Quiet Space. The Sound and creature design in this movie was remarkable. More of a thriller/horror type of film. Didn’t watch a single trailer before watching it and it was massively intense from the 1st scene all the way to the end. With so little dialogue, you have to have great actors to carry that kind of story through imagery and they all did a great job with that. Heck of a directing and acting performance from John on this one. Especially given he’s known mostly for his comedy background.I thought so too. You know everything that is going to happen but still a decent enough film.
Finally got around to watching A Quiet Place, solid solid movie. Very clever, pretty original. A great twist on dystopian, society has crumbled horror.
I feel ya man! You lookin for recommendations?
