@jakedog56 touched on this one earlier but I felt like giving it a review of its own. It was a pretty good flick. Somewhat slow, but ends up being a great thrill ride to the end. My only gripe was the ending left much to be desired. It wasn't that I didn't understand the ending, just thought it could have been better. They didn't really explain much, but left it to the viewers imagination. Still was a great story, progressed well with a perfect surrounding. Plenty of scares and shocks to go with it. More gore than usual, and some parts were disturbing!

Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead (2014)

Pleasantly surprised by this one! The script comes off as a bit far-fetched at times, even has some misplaced direction, and some of the CGI was downright comical. However, this movie created a great atmosphere in a very overplayed genre, and even presented some of its own originality. This was some of the best work I have seen in recent zombie flicks. Someone clearly spent a lot of time on minute details which makes this film a must see for anyone who enjoys zombie culture. Wouldn't be surprised to see a cult following. I loved the subtle comedy littered throughout the movie amongst the ingenious cast. It was like the director knew this genre was beaten to death, but he wanted to make it fan & serious at the same time. He pulled it off.

Recommended! 7/10

Yea dude I love writing reviews and sech! Anytime anyone here wants me to give one a go then let me know! I could write reviews for hours on end but I try to save posting for my recent viewings. I've seen too many movies to remember which ones I liked or didn't lol. Wish I kept a running list of the horror/thriller movies that I've watched, but it would be a pretty absurd list by now. Probably would make me feel like I have a problem!

I usually watch horror on weekend nights. So I don't review anything until Sunday or Mondays. But if you talk about one that I've already seen then I can review it almost immediately depending on how fresh it is in my memory. However I usually want to give everyone a chance to do their own review for anything they recommend! Not a problem if they don't have trailers/pics or whatever... Feel free to write reviews any way you please! And it really doesn't matter if we double up reviews since everyone has their own thoughts/opinions.

Synopsis:

Sorry for the late preview on this one. Overlooked it! But this looks like it has the makings of a great movie. At first the trailer made me think it was going to end up on Netflix within the following months of its release, but then it surprised me! I love horror movies like this where the actors are unknown but the plot is what makes the movie great. I am hopin for the best with this one!

WARNING!!! DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!

The trailer leads you to believe that it is a horror movie of sorts, but ends up being nothing more than a creepy love story. I watched it ALL the way through to the end thinking: "maybe at some point it will turn into horror". But no... It was horrible.

Spring (2015)


The trailer really dooped me. I was really looking forward to watching this one. Maybe it was my fault for not connecting the dots, but I was mislead into thinking this would be more horror than romance. Definitely ended up being more romance, like a very weird & creepy love story. It was well made and the acting was decent. Just not my cup of tea. If you're into romantic horror then maybe you'll find this to your liking.

Demonic (2015)


Demonic is your typical movie about a group of teenagers who decided to summon the dead. The movie had all of the horror elements, decent jump scares, and average acting. If you've watched spiritual thrillers like this, then you know what to expect. I will say, however, that this movie presented a pretty decent climactic twist. More of a mystery movie than horror. Worth the watch, but don't expect anything great!

Found (2012)


I'm going to dive straight into a simple fact about this movie. It will mess with you. At a deep emotional level, this movie will be extremely disturbing. This is the type of movie that will stick with you for days, if not weeks. The best thing about that is it's not due to its gut-wrenching gore. The gore, however hard to watch, isn't overdone or even a focus of the movie at all. The movie is in the deepest roots of the horrifyingly dark. The viewer is allowed to dive into the mind of a psycho and explore the reasons of his psyche. It will leave you disturbed. Probably not something that I will want to watch over & over because I want to keep my sanity, but this movie is definitely worth the watch. A really well done movie, and a great addition to the horror genre!

It Follows (2015)


If you are a fan of horror, then you OWE it to yourself to see this movie, if not own it. This is probably one of the best horror films that I have seen in some time. Quite literally this movie took me back to when I first discovered the original Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis, the movie that originally made me fall in love with the horror genre. The setting, the plot, the progression, the score... All of it was gold! Great heart-pounding suspense! As far as I'm concerned, this movie was knocked out of the park. For those of you that like to ponder "what would I do in that situation"... This is the movie for you. Quite the eerie feeling that it will leave you with. My only knocks on it are that I think the ending could have been done a little better and some of the nudity was unnecessary. The last 2 minutes were a little rushed, and leaves you wanting more. But it could be one of those endings that I will understand more as I continue to watch it throughout the years. Hard to say at this point... But I couldn't recommend this movie more.

Ginger Snaps (2000)

Wow! This movie was pretty damn good! It is probably one of the best werewolf movies that I've seen in some time. The writing was excellent, the acting was near perfect (great cast), the progression was suspenseful, and the little amounts of fx/cgi was spot on! The 2 lead characters compliment each other very well. Not exactly scary, but good thrill horror with a fair amount of gore. The movie presented itself in a very fresh/original sense in a pretty old genre. Surprised that I've never heard of it before jake recommended it to me. Did some research and found out it was sparsely released in theaters. Not sure how I feel about the climax, as the last half hour or so kinda left something to be desired. But otherwise it was a great film!

Recommended! 8/10
