We can beat Philly. They have a much better roster.

Currently, i only see us beating Philly in the NFCCG if we are at home. With Slay gone, i expect several blown plays by Quiyon and Cooper. I still expect them to play very well throughout the year. Maybe, just maybe Philly loses the killer mentality this year. As of now, Philly and Detroit are my major concerns.
I plan to be in harmony with your post season expectations after the draft

I hate to admit it but I kind of have to agree that Peter's talent evaluation has not been proven yet. Everyone loved last year's draft. But the truth is Jayden and to a far lesser extent Sainristill and Colemen were the only rookies who were productive last season. When you consider how many high picks they had this is concerning. I still don't understand the love for Newton, I loved the pick so I watched him a lot. On virtually every passing down he was stoned at the LOS and generated zero pressure, not a factor in the run game either as his run defense PFF was 44. A rookie takes time to develop but if they are good players they almost always show something in their rookie season.

With that said I'm still all in on Adam Peters. I was good with the offseason, they improved their OL dramatically and in a divison with the Eagles that was priority #1. I still believe the DL signed are a collection of JAGs and I will never understand the Kinlaw contract. I'm afraid like Jon Allen to some extent people are still in love with the player he was in college. I prefer to evaluate NFL players by how they play against other NFL players. But I trust the organization here.

The Kinlaw contract is the one head scratcher for me. I'm wait and see on that.

AP has earned the the right to be trusted, IMO. The success of his draft last year, sans JD, has not been fully vetted yet, but no one can question his talent evaluation in FA last year. He turned over a roster that was terrible and jettisoned 60%, and took us to the NFC title game. In effect, we were an expansion team. No other GM has ever done that.

Having said that, my biggest concern is that we have yet to address our biggest weakness. And that is our ability to stop any team from running on us. In fact, we may have actually gotten weaker with Allen gone. Moreover, our lack pass pressure has also gotten weaker. Of course, FA isn’t over and we still have the draft, but if we do not add talent to stop the run, we have no chance of beating Philly, unless Barkley gets injured.

Supposedly the players signed, and those who are gone such as Fowler, were all part of the plan to improve the run defense. Allen won't be missed and certainly was not the answer as a run stopper so they got bigger bodies.

Hopefully they get edge pressure from Martin. He didn't get a lot of sacks but did provide a lot of pressures and as Chase Young has learned that's all that is needed to be considered productive these days.

Looks like Goldman was brought in to be the run stopping DT. Wise is a big DE, and he can probably stop the run too. I think Kinlaw is more of the pass rushing De/DT type. I dont know why Ferrell was brought back. Holmes can play DT/DE.
