jfc. I turned it off at 6-4. How the hell did they give up 11 runs in the last 2 innings?

The all star game is coming here and we will get 1 token pitcher in it.

They should all give half their salary back. If you are only going to give half an effort you should get paid accordingly.

Fuck.

If it wasn't for the A's tanking on purpose this team would be in last place in the division.

I don’t know how Scott can respectively accept the invite by Dusty into the all star game?

Have some damn respect for the love of god!! He has no right to grace an all star event regardless of its location, he should be ashamed.

It’s July 1st and the countdown to Seahawks camp officially begins!

And they ( sports writers - the press - the fans etc etc ... ) thought that losing game 3 to the Nats was the season low point.

:pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound:

They underestimated how terrible a team the 2023 Mariners truly are.

We may not have bottomed out yet, that is a scarey thought.

No firings or benches clearing brawls will fix what is wrong.

Dipoto has thrown together a team of sub par players and thinks somehow you can make a birthday cake with nothing but dirt, spit, grass and a dried up turd.

Last season was simply a case of even a broken clock is right 2 times a day.

Mariners = garbage in and you get garbage out.

All teams around the league likely watch what the Mariners do on a year to year basis and simply make certain their plan does not resemble the 'Mariners way' in any shape or form.

CBS sports mid season grades
"Grade: D. Fresh off their first postseason appearance since 2001, the M's no doubt hoped to contend once again. However, GM Jerry Dipoto didn't do enough this past winter to address the team's offensive holes, and right now they're below .500."

Which is exactly what everyone screamed all off season. But used car Jerry knows best /wank

I'll say it again. What this team lacks more than anything else is leadership. It isn't about the talent (although they of course need more). They lack leadership in the management layer, and there is no strong leadership at the player level.

They get lost too easily. No one helps guide them back. They have no one to lean on in thin times.

Reportedly Cal was the most vocal in the player only meeting and beide the fact he hasn't been in the league long, he's also not a particularly up tempo kind of guy.

They lack fire on the field, on the base paths, at the plate, and in the dugout.

Getting one solid veteran team leader kind of guy is the only thing that could salvage the second half, but it's fast becoming a hole too deep to climb out of anyway.

I thought we were the fun team last year? Satana looks like a kid again in Pitt.

Great for Carlos Santana

if he were still in our dugout a lot of this bullshit would have been nipped in the bud early on.

He is having a great time playing ball and does so with half the athleticism that most of our current roster has.
You gotta have heart and grit with a moderate amount of talent to be a successful MLB ball player.

If only we had a need for a DH to start the season....

I will admit I was 100% wrong with him. Not sure if it is him but they are missing something in the clubhouse and it’s not like they use their bench really anyway so would’ve been worth $8 mill or whatever

Part of his resurgence has likely been the elimination of the shift. I could've sworn I read something somewhere that the shift hurt him more than just about any other regular player in baseball.

Can't say that I have anything to say that hasn't already been said.

We are currently a dumpster fire. Thank God I turned off the game last night.
