This game is hard to watch. It's like first one to 45 wins.
4 now!
I think they heard me!
Finally popped our ACC cherry this season. And like most first times, it was awkward, sloppy, and a little uncomfortable but I'll take it
Another UVA team exposed! Hopefully this will be a turning point. Good experience for the freshmen too.
Honestly, I don't think Sene is a big part of UVA's success so I do not think him being out will have an impact. He's the classic example of a 7 foot stiff playing basketball. He doesn't do anything particularly well despite being 7 foot tall. His stats are comparable to Davila's.
I think a lot of our FT disparity just came from our sloppy play. I understand you want to be as tight as possible on Mike Scott, but we did a lot of hacking/fouling we did not need to do imo.I thought we did a good job of just gutting things out today. As I said earlier, you knew it was going to be a defensive struggle. It was a little sloppy at times, but not as bad as some games have been. We shot pretty well but I still would have liked to seen more aggressiveness going inside. That's part of the reason why there was such a huge FT disparity (though it was also partially ridiculous).
Ugly win but maybe we can use it as a momentum builder. Our next two games (BYU and Maryland) are both winnable if we play up to our potential. I hope Greenberg leaves Zo coming off the bench. He's played well in that role.
sheesh those "fans" look miserable
