No Frank Tanana!?!
List is bullshit.
I feel like Miller has been kept out of the Hall based solely on his insistence on sporting the mustache of a racist 1930's slumlord well in to the 80's.Miller is a no-brainer. Should’ve been in long before now. Can’t fathom how a panel made up of former players that benefited greatly from his contributions have failed to grasp that.
Whitaker I’ve always thought was deserving. He’s unquestionably better than many 2B’s that are in.
Heck I’d think a reasonable argument could probably be made that every player on this list was a better player and more deserving HOFer than Harold Baines whom the other committee put in last year.
Still trying to understand why Dave Parker isn't in the HOF.
Marginal Hall of Fame stats ... great outfield arm and always a presence on the field ... he'd have my vote, but I think a 40.1 WAR hurts him.
If you are a WAR7 fan, that is not a bad thing.and most of that WAR came from 6 seasons ('75-79, '85). in fact, those were his only seasons with even 2+ WAR.

Except the fact that his WAR7 just isn’t that dominating.
I agree that he was definitely a presence on the field. When he was playing the Phillies and Pirates were in the same division so I saw him play a lot and he was one of the guys you didn't want to see at the plate. One of the more "feared" hitters in the game for a few years.Marginal Hall of Fame stats ... great outfield arm and always a presence on the field ... he'd have my vote, but I think a 40.1 WAR hurts him.

All but Murphy own border-property. Murphy, I think, was legit over looked. Not a single person on there deserves to be in the HOF. Definitely deserves the hall of worthy of consideration but not HOF worthy.

He had a lot of respect around the league though.
This is where I think the HOF is messed up though in every sport. There are a ton Murphy’s in the HOF in other sports. But to me, which is way off this topic and way too late for the Pandora’s box is that if you have to advocate for someone then that person isn’t HOF worthy. I’m a homer for Edgar Martinez and think he was the best RH hitter from 92-2001 but he wasn’t a real HOFer. The fact that Mariano Rivera was the first unanimous HOF inductee in baseball shows the system is flawed and the HOF worthy should all be in the hall.
But, everyone on the OP list >>> Harold Baines.
