My laptop has been getting really hot lately. Like, burn my thigh hot.

Today I noticed that the battery icon says "Plugged in, not charging."

What the fuck is that noise? Everything is plugged in?

I would say it's a fan problem or maybe you need to clean the little vents so it can get air.

There should be little vents underneath so that air can circulate.

Well I didn't say anything about a noise but now that you mention it....it sounds like the fan. Whirrrrrrrrrrr.

Try running it without the battery, but plugged in. Does it get hot? Does it make the noise.

If the vents aren't clean it will make your fan run at a higher speed.
Probably the noise you're hearing.
