A moment of Bronco Forum Zen:

Contemplate this -

Gary Kubiak as part of his master plan - used the entire regular season as a preseason laboratory to get your Broncos ready to play when it really counts for a team with this talent - the Playoffs. In the great offensive record setting year of 2013 - the Broncos flashed perfection in the regular season and league got to study and focus on how to disrupt that offense in the playoffs. All this experimenting around with QBs - RBs - WRs and Olinemen - over center - from the pistol - from the shotgun - has been truly remarkable, but it has been part of the plan - all along for Kubiak and his staff to pull all the strengths together for the playoffs. The tactical advantage offensively goes to the Broncos - as they certainly haven't given it away during the regular season - just the opposite of 2013.

I think there is some truth to this thought, but it would also have to involve getting the WRs to slather their fingers with butter - as a means of throttling back. Another theory could be the Broncos having been serial lucky find themselves - relatively healthy - full of talent - and the confidence that they are unbeatable - and now that the games mean something - they turn it up a notch.

The very last thing I expect from this team - based on watching closely all season - is a flat gone fishing - snake bit bunch that showed up under John Fox in the Playoffs. I can live with any other outcome. I remember when the Broncos were getting beaten so badly in Super Bowls that us fans were afraid of getting there and going threw it again.

I hope to see a team - that plays with emotion - takes advantage of mistakes - show focus for four quarters and one that radiates confidence.

I don't know necessarily if this was the master plan, but I certainly think there is something to the idea that many of the experiments of the regular season will pay their dividends today. We would have seen this last week too had our WRs caught the ball when they were supposed to. If Manning can play like he did last week and our WRs bring it in, mark it: this offense can keep up with the Patriots. If our WRs play like they did last week this will be all on the defense to win it today. Which is still a possibility.

Could be Peyton's last game in Denver - his last game to start - his last chance at the Super Bowl. The money, however, will continue to roll in.

Anyone think he will go into Broadcasting?

Broncos hold the Patriots offense on their first possession, then go down and score a TD on their own first possession. Great start!

I can't stand Ronnie Hillman. I hope I never see him in a bronco uniform after this season. Guy just killed momentum... Stand there with your arms in the air as the ball sits on the ground... No football smarts.

Guy sucks as a player and has no football intelligence.. Get rid of him!

And yet we still try and run the 170 lb small fry up the gut. I love watching Hillman run into the backs of his o lineman and go down for negative yardage
