A moment of Bronco Forum Zen:
Contemplate this -
Gary Kubiak as part of his master plan - used the entire regular season as a preseason laboratory to get your Broncos ready to play when it really counts for a team with this talent - the Playoffs. In the great offensive record setting year of 2013 - the Broncos flashed perfection in the regular season and league got to study and focus on how to disrupt that offense in the playoffs. All this experimenting around with QBs - RBs - WRs and Olinemen - over center - from the pistol - from the shotgun - has been truly remarkable, but it has been part of the plan - all along for Kubiak and his staff to pull all the strengths together for the playoffs. The tactical advantage offensively goes to the Broncos - as they certainly haven't given it away during the regular season - just the opposite of 2013.
I think there is some truth to this thought, but it would also have to involve getting the WRs to slather their fingers with butter - as a means of throttling back. Another theory could be the Broncos having been serial lucky find themselves - relatively healthy - full of talent - and the confidence that they are unbeatable - and now that the games mean something - they turn it up a notch.
The very last thing I expect from this team - based on watching closely all season - is a flat gone fishing - snake bit bunch that showed up under John Fox in the Playoffs. I can live with any other outcome. I remember when the Broncos were getting beaten so badly in Super Bowls that us fans were afraid of getting there and going threw it again.
I hope to see a team - that plays with emotion - takes advantage of mistakes - show focus for four quarters and one that radiates confidence.
