Was out for most of the game, but was really surprised with the numbers he put up today.
Done with Lynch. Never liked the resigning in the first place... Get he's the face of the toughness of the team, but meh, too much money to be throwing a runningback. Let's cut Lynch (release, yep, save 6.5M) trade Kam (should get a 2nd rounder for him), release Cary Williams, and re-sigh Bruce Irvin with the extra money. Draft OT, CB, CB, OG in that order and call it a day.
Are we arguing or agreeing that Rawls is a #1 back.
He hits the line quick, IMO, faster than Lynch. Lynch seems to have contact 2-3 yards in the backfield ( a lot), yet he often breaks that or a net gain. BUT, Rawls, does not seem to get touched behind the line.
Weird, huh!
Rawls is a good back, we struck some more GOLD with him. But, I see him taking a bench to Lynch when Marshawn wants to return.
At the least, they should split carries. Rawls is actually good out of the backfield.
Bottom Line: Feeling Good about Rawls. 600+ yards, on the way to 1,000. (If given the chance)
Well, the Steelers definitely are not a bad run D (3.8 ypc), but the Browns are coming up and they are the worst run D in the league in total yds per game given up and also pretty bad on ypc (4.6). Vikigns are also not that great with 4.3 ypc. Should be some yards out there to be had.Rawls is going to be the man for a few weeks, and he isn't going to be facing cream puff run defenses. It'll be interesting to see if he can remain productive.

I agree. Also got the Ravens in there who are also a top five run defense. Two top ten defenses and a middle of the pack squad in the next four games should be a pretty good barometer.

Bengals aren't a cream puff defense and he held his own against them.
Of course not. But being asked to do it once every couple weeks is very different than being asked to do it week in and week out.
I Agree with Lynch, Williams, Irvin and the draft ideas, but for the life of me WHY TRADE KAM? Look at the plays made since been back. Yeah he's lost a step or 2 (or 10) in covering TE but still he's making plays and creating turnovers
Kam isn't playing well. He's blown many more plays than he's made, we don't know if he'll pull the same kind of stunt again, and as far as renegotiating goes, why renegotiate with a guy who's been very mediocre? Irvin's been playing great all year. Give him the money (he'll be cheaper than Kam) and just let Kam go. He's too much of a pain in the ass.
