Heat preseason thoughts?

I really liking what I'm seeing out of the new big 3. Deng looks really good and likewise for Bosh along with more aggressive on the glass. It's hard to judge the other guys because Spo is tweaking his rotation but Granger & Ennis looked good while Shannon is active defensively.

Tonight Spo started Cole and I'm not sure if I like that. Cole needs to be more aggressive if he's going to start instead of just focusing on getting others involved.

Still hard to judge how the rotation will be since McBob is out until the season opener or later.

I told you from the beginning - The Heat will still be a good team and in the top five teams at the worst. They have an excellent chance at going to the finals. Cleveland could have a lot of chemistry problems while the Heat develops into that team like the Pistons that upset Karl Malone, Kobe and Shaq. Just relax and enjoy the ride

The drop off from LeBron to Deng isn't as drastic as people make it out to be.. as long as he stays healthy. No one can replace LeBron in the league... no one, but Deng is pretty damn good himself.

My only worry for Miami is depth and health. If just one of their big 3 suffers an injury and misses time then they could be in trouble.

Still think they end up 2-4 seed and lose in the 2nd round, but we'll see.

Really? Where did you read this? I know Wade is still his boy. I like Bosh not talking to him. I don't get why Wade does. He kind of threw Wade/Bosh under the bus. Cost Wade a few million dollars in salary. It's not him going back to Cleveland that would have lost my friendship... it's the fact he knew what he was doing the whole time and told guys like Pau Gasol and Mike Miller, but left the two closest to him out of it.

I posted the tweet on our team board but basically the reporter said bosh haven't spoken to LeBron and doesn't have time for anyone who isn't apart of miami. Yeah I'm surprised wade remains close friends with him after being told he's not good enough

LeBron has been in the league 11 years & Deng 10. In that one extra year LBJ has 12,000+ more career points. There will be a big drop off @ the 4 spot this year for the Heat this year. Deng's a good player but his game is nowhere near LBJ's game.

I don't think he was talking about stats. The heat went from a great sf in LeBron to a solid top 10 sf in deng. It's not like they replaced LeBron with kidd gilchrist or something. Deng is solid and should be able to average in the high teens and is one of the better defenders at the position

relax Wamu.. I don't think anyone was trying to say Deng is as good as LeBron. Deng is a solid all-star caliber player (borderline). He has had success in this league. Real solid defender. He also is a pretty good defender of LeBron James (as good as you can ask anyone to be).

Trust me.. all of us Heat fans would trade Deng for LeBron trade right now.

If he wasn't comparing their all around games (which would include career stats) then he must have been comparing them by height. And you mention the defensive end huh...how many time has LBJ been named 1st or 2nd team all defense & how many times has Deng been named to an all defensive team?

Hey it's all good. Hell I'm not even a Cavs fan but I am tired of some Heat fans here on SportsHoopla & their inability to just say how truly disappointed they are that LBJ left rather than always finding something to bash him about. He did this...he did that, oh just shut-up (SOME) Heat fans & get a damn box of Kleenex! Because had LBJ stayed in Miami the vast majority of Heat fans would have nothing negative to say about him.

You need to read better. When did I say a word about LeBron defense? I'm like bosh.....im only worried about guys in a heat uniform. Deng has been a solid defender and one of the better defenders at small forward his entire career. This is nothing new unless you didn't start watching basketball until this summer. As I said before deng is a top 10 small forward who will score between 16-19 ppg and play solid defense night in and night out. As I said before we went from a great small forward to a solid/goos small forward. What are you not comprehending? Am I talking Spanish?

Wtf are you talking about dude? I didn't say he was anywhere close to LeBron. Bron is the best in the game, but Deng is about as good of a replacement as you can find.
