Carcillo signing is perplexing, unless trying to get some toughness. Have fun with that Blackhosers.

I'm not sure what that Carcillo signing was all about, but I would think the toughness. He is constantly suspended though, which was a concern of mine when he was here, so that should be looming over their heads every time he steps onto the ice - which on a deep team like that will be rare I'm thinking.

The other two were salary dumps and wins for Garth Snow, he really addressed some needs this summer starting in goal and in the forward corps. This helps shore up the defense, Boychuk is very underrated and a physical player who can chip in some points now and then. Leddy is more of an offensive guy and will help their offense and transitional game.

Two more days...I'm stoked!

Islanders look like a legit playoff team now. Its funny how after all these years making fun of Snow he really made a lot solid moves this off season to fix a lot of his teams issues.

He stepped up to the plate big time this season, he needed to with all the debacles that have happened there not only under his watch but for many years before. They should be a fun team to watch.

Not sure if they will make the POs, but this is arguably the best roster they have fielded in some time.

Their division is pretty weak which is good for them. I mean, they are right there with NYR, Philly and CLB.
