Idk. How do you explain the kid being a commit since 2013 and never taking any of his campus visits? MI can't speak on the kid right now. But it will all come out eventually.

Again...explain why they wanted him as a preferred walk on?? If he has off-field issues, like I think you are angling here, Michigan wouldn't even offer that.

Again...can't have it both ways. Harbaugh is either shady, or Urban isn't.

Your choice.
That's not how things work. You can do something mean without being an ass hole overall.

I don't know. Maybe so they could just cut him quietly and avoid this fiasco?

Of course it matters. Cmon. We're two weeks away from signing day, the kid was recruited by Hoke and he's never officially met with Harbaughs program? Maybe we just got tired waiting for him? Can't wait to find out the truth. I think we can all agree the whole of it isn't out yet.

I hope Michigan is pretty innocent in this. It just seems really STRANGE that they wouldn't want this kid in their recruiting class. It's not like he is a borderline top prospect. He was an all american on a few national sites.

From the Detroit Free Press:

“Coach Drevno just said they’re trying to put the best recruiting class they can together,” Molinari said. “They’ve gained a ton of interest from a lot of recruits they never thought they’d have interest from. It wasn’t just a coach Drevno thing. They sat down and thought there wasn’t going to be one for Erik at this point — not a full scholarship, a preferred walk-on.”

How do you explain they wanted him as a preferred walk-on then? If there were any issues with the kid(character/off the field) wouldn't they just cut ties all together?
Still doesn't make sense, especially since we have plenty of 3 star kids that could have been cut to make room for a top 250 OL.

But what Urban did last year means he's shady? I mean you said it yourself, not like I'm putting words in your mouth. That was just one incident.

He's been in constant contact with the program, scheduled an official visit with the coaches and they tell him a few days before hand to hold off. Seems like the coaches knew two weeks ago they didn't want him but was just using him as a place holder just in case Harbaugh's Netflix and Chill nights weren't going to get him the recruits he wants. They strung him along so he couldn't get any offers from other major programs and would be forced into a walk on role.

Personally, doesn't matter to me. All the winningest programs do it. Schools pay coaches millions to field the best teams, not appease to the masses. With that said, I think it will come out in the wash that this kid did something on his own that put him in this unfortunate situation. His little comment abou it came off kind of suspicious. Anytime someone says "...but God had other plans..." there's usually some skeletons in that closet.

That's because Urban has a history that spans back to every place he's been of shady behavior. His behavior in total makes him shady, not just one single instance. Like the fact that he enjoys allowing serial murderers to play for him.

Maybe in their evaluation they don't think he's that good? Or they have a position of need more? The quote is what it is.

That's your opinion. Mine differs.

Lol right back at ya. Whatever helps you trash the guy that's about to send your school back to obscurity where they belong.

I could care less about what couch burners think of our HC. I respect Urban. I respect Saban. I understand that's a tough notion for lil bro to grasp.

Then in your opinion, why did they delay the OV and not pull the scholarship them?

Because the kid did something stupid that resulted in the program no longer wanting him. Like I said, MI can't speak on it now. But the truth will surface eventually.

Wasn't Rich Rod going to do that same thing?
Wasn't Brady Hoke going to do that same thing?

Seems like "wait til next year," is Michigan's new battle cry. 7 out of the last 9.

Why do people do that? Its either right or its wrong. It is even worse when its a fanbase that has slammed the SEC and Urban for their practices. Pulling it and offering a preferred walk-on status is just disgusting. Its bad to pull it, but clearing it is not grades or behavior. It is Jan. It would be understandable if Harbaugh came in and said he wanted to re-evaluate the the 2017 offers, but it is 1 month prior to signing. Guy is as slimy as any coach in the country and probably worse. He has been pushing the limits on everything since he walked in the door.

Nope. Real MI fans never wanted either, especially RR, who didn't even recruit in MI. Sure, bandwagon Walmart Wolverines may have bought into that BS, but their opinions don't count. Both were horrible hires and heads rightfully rolled because of it.

You assuming those two piles are on par w Harbaugh is way off base.

You assuming that he is going to be the second coming of Bo hasn't been proven and he has proven that he will be dirty and skirt NCAA rules. Welcome to the new SEC.
