What's bizarre about this story is that Erik Swenson had a heck of a HS Senior Season. He made the Illinois All-State team for the 3rd consecutive year. He also was named to the USA Today 2015 All-American Team (2nd team).

Why would Harbaugh drop this kind of talent? This is a head scratcher. I wonder the the heck happened?

I'm pretty sure MI will do just fine in recruiting. I think getting blasted 38-0 set your program back a lot farther than this incident could ever do to MI.

It wasn’t just a coach Drevno thing. They sat down and thought there wasn’t going to be one for Erik at this point — not a full scholarship, a preferred walk-on.”

How do you explain they wanted him as a preferred walk-on then? If there were any issues with the kid(character/off the field) wouldn't they just cut ties all together?

Well Michigan delayed it at least once. If he knew he wanted to go to Michigan what does it matter? Who knows if the kid went on his own on an unofficial visit?

Of course it matters. Cmon. We're two weeks away from signing day, the kid was recruited by Hoke and he's never officially met with Harbaughs program? Maybe we just got tired waiting for him? Can't wait to find out the truth. I think we can all agree the whole of it isn't out yet.
