I remember the first day I walked into a classroom to teach students for the first time. Lawd knows how many mistakes were made. So I will pass on the verdict concerning Banny for now. I didn't turnout so bad and he probably won't either no matter how loud I holler.

You taught school. Wow.....I respected ya before today, but another notch up there sir.

Did not teach long. Uncle Sam needed some help so I decided that was more important. Never regretted it and never will. Country first.

Agreed.....just don't get all the venom reining down on a guy who has gotten us in a position to challenge for a playoff spot. Which I think ALL OF US would agree, this was about as far from our collective minds 60 days ago as it could get? And I'm definitely one to complain, probably more than I should. So I'm definitely not getting on ANYONE re: this. It's just the overt accompanying venom which takes me back.

Bass is our long man isn't he? That's why I'm thinking he didn't want to use him today.

And I don't think it would have been wise to even try and pitch Tolley tomorrow after he'd thrown so much the last few days, and he threw under duress as well. Which, at least to me, isn't taken into account enough.

But like you said, it's just my opinion.
jta disagreed with my thought on this as well and I am good with that. You just have a habit of coming off strong at times. I do not mind at all with those who see things differently. And my complaint was even before Tolleson came back out. I think every move that Banister made today were good moves. I just did not want us to waste Tolleson. We may really need him tomorrow. And we really have not used anyone as a long man. If we waste Bass for an inning he still would have been good tomorrow. I just think there is a bigger picture on what was done today. But that is just me. It was the same feelings I had about Kela coming into games that were way out of control or bringing Scheppers into games that were not. You just need to use your valuable pieces when they are really needed. So we are cool and I enjoy having you on the board and the banter we all have out here.

Appreciate you DT. I taught for 8 years as well in high school Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Yeah, I am a genius. LOL! Not! Loved the interaction with the students.

yeah figuring out baseball moves is something I do enjoy. No student always gets all the answers right but that does not make the student a bad student and furthermore sometimes the teacher is wrong too

Banny big plusses--
1.variance of the lineup- He is not afraid to move them around due to pitching lineups/hot bat
2. utilization of younger guys- DDJ may have rarely seen the light of days in earlier years.
3. He works with JD-- guy comes up and he gets to play, (minus Rua) Odor down and back up = success

Banny questionable moves-
1. pulling DDJ vs another when defensive replacement is needed
2 use of Schepp although down now-- in some ways he plays the hand dealt him but at least the new guys are a needed addtion

So yes perhaps I nitpick but I do think Banny is a good choice overall Now I was not totally against Wash as I thought he was a good teaching Manager but yes I am glad there was a change. Many Wash tendencies were infuriating at times

I'm sure I do.....I come by it naturally though. haha

Hey, I'm certainly good with you as well my friend. Honestly, my comments weren't really directed toward anyone, least of all you. But this is what lead to my "observation."

I missed a good part of the game the other day/night and when I got on here there was a lynch-mob formed and calling for Banister's head. I was completely shocked at what I was seeing over a few outings of Scheppers. Here we were in the mist of making some waves and winning series against 3 teams leading their respective divisions, and Banister was the villain.

I was against the 8th inning use of Tanner as well. Just didn't, and don't, understand the reaction he was receiving.

Anyway, hope tomorrows game plays out as good as todays did. Good match-up of Lewis and King Felix.

Hopefully he listens to Beltre's antics. When he ignores him, he's been lights out. I hope Beltre smokes one in his first AB and taunts him all the way around!

Check this crazy shit out

Saw this on SportsCenter and can honestly say, never seen anything quite like it.

Even if he practiced this for an extended period of time, it still looks damn near impossible to me. And, did you get a kick outta watching the opposition celebrating too?

Thanks for the post though, especially for anyone who hadn't seen it.

Seems that way, I seem to miss the exciting ones, but I'm available for the 21-5 beat downs from the opposition. Haha! Should miss all of today's game too. Boo!

No children on this trip, it was a momma and daddy only weekend. Got some good R&R, now gotta clean up and get on the road, we got a 5 hour drive

Travel safe buddy, and give Nadel a listen. You'll certainly understand what is going on in the game more with him that our idiot broadcast team, I'm sorry to say.

That is the hard part. Driving back. We drove back yesterday and got home about the 8th inning. Be safe Murph. That area was my hangout in my late teens and early 20's.
