Call me crazy, but if I'm in game 7 of the World Series and I've got options of Darvish, Holland, Perez, and Colby to start for my team, I'm picking Colby every single time.

Yeah thats why you don't move him for a couple fringe prospects

Trade rumors and 2 days off in COL are probable contributors.

Very possible. Mitch is very much on the block. I bet JD waits to pull the trigger on any move until after the Yankees series.

I don't see where he'd bring enough in return to warrant trading him.

It wouldn't surprise me if very little happens at all, as well

I don't think so either but there will be callers. Colby is entrenched as a Ranger. Gallardo I would like to keep but guess there are reports he would like to test free agency

I can't imagine if a team like, say, the Cards or Dodgers came calling and presented mgmt with a very attractive trade that Lewis himself wouldn't want to jump at the chance of competing for WS shot. He can stay here and try to keep us out of last place or hopefully go for all the gusto.

Those rings are few, hard to get, and Colby knows he's not getting any younger. Besides, as it's so often pointed out, he can always be resigned in the off season.

For me, that's a win-win situation for all parties. Probably more for Lewis than either team really.

You could never get the sheer heart and determination that guy has in any trade.

If they go 4-2 or 5-1 over the next two series I think he'll probably stand pat aside from trying to nab a bullpen arm and hope this team has another run left in them.

Assuming rings alone are his biggest motivation. He may have other reasons for wanting to stay.

I wish Wash would have picked Derek to pitch again in 2011. After what he did earlier in that series I would pick him from now on in any deciding game as long as he is healthy.

Yeah, don't think I like the thought of anyone we got facing him as the tying run. Hope Keone gets it done

Nice, nice outing for Mr Lewis. Actually, that'd be a nice outing for anyone. Especially since they've own him for months and months.
