I just figured this deserved it's own thread...
I thought we had to clear a spot on the 40 for Arias, but apparently we were only at 39. I see no corresponding 40 move for him. That means that we will not have o lose anyone when Hacker gets the call. Weezy will simply go to the 60.
Hacker has appeared in 5 games in his career, all in relief. Saturday will be his first career start.
This year in Fresno, he has done pretty well. He is 4-0 with a 2.19 in 4 starts and 24.2 IP. He has 16/6 K/BB. His career MiL K/BB is 2.28, so he SSS looks to basically agree with his larger sample. While I do not see Hacker challenging for a spot in the rotation any time soon (barring some HORRIBLE circumstances), I think he should be a serviceable 6/7.
